The meetings had thankfully been drawn to an early conclusion due to an issue with my brother which both my father and the pack elders had been called to attend to, so I evidently owed him one. I watched Lena sitting upon the porch swing for so long, having sat with her a while. I retreated inside once an uncomfortable silence had descended between us.
