Viola’s POVIt was incredibly heart wrenching hearing someone’s last scream and being cut off so instantaneously. I was at my father’s heels followed by Alpha Jake to where the scream had come from, I wasn’t sure who’s wolf this was but I heard a howl of pain nearby, someone had lost their mate. My heart grew heavy. Viola’s POVTwo weeks had gone by since the mystery girl showed up. She was still unconscious for the most part. She woke up terrified twice to say “they’re coming” and that was that. There had been four more attacks since she arrived and three deaths. The first was someone who had worked at the library.I remembered walking in on her, whoever had done it had already left with that same disgusting smell lingering in the air. Her throat had been ripped out. It was amazing that the second attack didn’t end in a fatality. I kept reading and learning with Jake and Trenton about hunters and whatnot, then I would visit the girl.
