The road stretched endlessly ahead of us. For a long time, neither Uncle J nor I spoke. The steady hum of the engine filled the car, blending with the quiet rhythm of tires rolling over the pavement. Outside the window, the city slowly faded behind us. Tall buildings turned into smaller houses, and eventually even those disappeared, replaced by open land and scattered trees swaying gently in the wind.
