CHAPTER THIRTEEN The sound of cartons falling on my body were echoes. My breathing hitched, pumping my anxiety as I tried moving. The empty boxes pressed on my face, obscuring my view. I heard something. The first nurse moved to the fallen pile of boxes on the floor. My throat got dry at the thought of getting caught. “Me too,” the other nurse said, pushing away the empty boxes.
