Author's POV Rodney picked Amy up from the airport himself. By the time they arrived at his restaurant, it was already evening and lights had started glowing warmly against the grand exterior. Amy turned slowly as she took everything in. "As an architect," she said softly, "this is breathtaking. The symmetry, the height and the detailing. It feels like stepping into another world. Rodney smiled pleasingly. "I wanted it to feel timeless. Amy couldn’t stop admiring the structure but suddenly her attention shifted. Across the table, Rodney was on his phone, discussing a deal he was about to finalize. His tone was calm, authoritative and confident. Amy found herself studying him instead.
