ADRIANAWith the GPS map on the bike, I was able to navigate my way to the location he had written down on the paper. I parked the bike in front of the large, dark Rouge Wood and got off.I felt chills rush down my body as I stared at the dark, vast woods before me. I stared at the wristwatch strapped around my wrist and sighed, then swallowed hard before trudging in. I took my phone out of my bag and walked into the woods, then navigated my way to the west side of the woods. I walked as fast as I could, constantly looking around for the sight of any living being or animal, until I spotted a building at the far end. My heart raced and I increased my pace, almost breaking into a run at some point. When I got to the house, which looked like it was about to crumble, hesitation kicked in. I brushed the feeling aside and took a step closer to the door, ready to take whatever risk was needed.A little push at the door caused it to fall open. I slowly stepped in, swinging my head around and

ADRIANAI jumped off the bike when I got to the station and rushed in, clutching the bag and caring less about the blood that soaked my shirt. The police officer who had spoken to me earlier was leaning over at a desk, chatting with his colleague when I walked in.He suddenly straightened up and swung his head in my direction, his eyes locking with mine. His brows raised in surprise, and he moved away from his yapping colleague and advanced towards me with squinted eyes.I narrowed my eyes and clutched the bag tighter, avoiding the eyes that constantly glanced at me from all directions.“You again?" He spoke up, and I looked up at him.His eyes narrowed over my body, and a huff escaped his mouth.“What are you doing here?" He snapped in a ridiculous voice that got me narrowing my eyes in disgust.“I’m here to see Salvador,” I blurted out.The man shook his head and sighed. He paused and looked at me with raised brows and eyes full of tiredness.“You can't see him now, you need to leav

ADRIANABefore he could react to my words, I grabbed the measuring tape and wrapped it around his neck, twisting him around. He screamed as I sent him to his knees and pulled the tape tightly, almost choking the life out of his eyes.He wheezed and coughed while twitching and trying to get out of the chokehold. His eyes bulged out, and his skin paled as life slowly faded from his eyes.“Are you ready to speak, or do you want your staff to find your dead body here instead?" I snapped as I pulled the tape, and his wheezing and rasping got worse. He raised his hand and waved it, hinting at his submission.I let go of him, and he dropped to the ground in a loud thud, almost going stiff.“Start talking!" I snapped. He coughed and slowly sat up.I walked over to stand in front of him, my hand on my waist as I watched him rub his reddened neck.He paused and raised his head to glare at me.“You brat!" He spat.I grabbed the tape again, and fear flashed across his eyes.“You're still not read

ADRIANAMy body trembled in anger as I glared hatefully at him.“Why the hell will you do that?" I growled in anger and reached out to grip his shirt, but he grabbed my hand and pushed me to the side. I staggered back and almost fell to the ground, but I was fast enough to hold myself back from falling.“Look, I know you're upset, but you can't keep doing this. From what I've seen, these people could kill you–" “Who says you have the right to make that decision for me?" I growled, heaving loudly.I was filled with so much rage that I barely thought clearly. Tears were already slipping down my face as my heart burned in pain. The cop sighed and ran his hand through his messy hair, then reached out to touch me again, but I slapped his hand away again, glaring hatefully at him.“Look, Adriana…”"Don't you dare mention my name!” I spat, and his lips slammed shut.He took a step closer and glared daringly into his eyes."I'm going to disappear and you better not look for me,” I mumbled an

ADRIANAI spun around and rushed back into the restaurant, but to my greatest dismay, the bag was gone.My heartbeat raced madly, and I felt my head swirl around in circles as I stared at the empty booth where I was sitting with the bag beside me.My feet began to shake, and I staggered back, feeling anger, regret, and pain flood through my system. After everything I had gone through to protect the bag from reaching those monsters, I ended up losing it all. Everything was all gone. It was all in vain.I felt like screaming out how frustrated I was with life, but I was in a public gathering and might end up in an asylum if I did.My wobbly feet gave way to the shallow ground, and I began to drop to the ground with eyes rolled up.Strong hands grabbed me before I hit the ground, and I felt my body being lifted into a pair of arms that belonged to Anderson. My eyes closed, and my racing heartbeat slowed as Anderson dropped me into the booth, whispering my name.“Hey, instead of fainting,
