“You need to rest, but I can spare a few minutes.” I slide into bed beside him. He lets out a breath as if he had been holding it. He grins. “This is the best minute I have had in a long time. I missed you so fucking much.” His fingers entertwine in mine. For several minutes, neither of us speaks.
