Sunlight flooded the diner as I raised the blinds. The sweet aroma of my stew simmering in the kitchen filled the space. There was a soft piano melody playing on the speakers. We got to the community center and there were a few cars scattered outside, but what stood out most to me was an ambulance. Why was it here?
