ASHLEY My mind fuzzed, my body felt lighter and my heartbeat returned, still skipping beats. I felt a hit on my chest, hard, desperate, strong enough to get some of my dead organs working again. “Ash, you have to wake up!" I heard a voice. Though it sounded so far away like I was still underwater. I felt that push on my chest again, harder than the last time. I tried to move and show whoever had snatched me out of death's grip that I was back to life, but my body didn't respond, and my brain could barely pass that signal down to my body parts. I felt warm lips touch mine, and sparks ran through my body, and the chilling feeling that had hugged me tightly suddenly disappeared. Air was blown down my throat, and slowly my breath returned, and my fingers moved. I coughed up, and the water that filled my lungs shot out. I jerked up and parted my lips, letting the water out.
