THIRD-PARTY POV "Van?" one of the Lycan elders who had come for the ceremony called out softly, watching Van as he continued to mutter no, his eyes glazed over as he clung to Val. Val's eyes were vacant, and his body trembled as if experiencing a seizure. The guards moved to help them up, but the elder raised a hand to stop them. “I don’t know what’s happening,” he said, “but we mustn’t disturb them.” He could feel Val and Van's auras tangled, pulsing, and encircling them in a thick, unseen energy that kept the air still.
