Elder Richard P.O.V.I’ve been quietly following Balder at a slight distance, watching how he has greeted people, made sure they had places to sit, blankets, things to drink and eat once the kitchen team came out with the first round of supplies. And I got to say I felt so proud, he was doing such a great job, and the vibe amongst the scared crowd was easing by the second he was walking around with a smile, and reassuring words. I, myself, also talked to people. Made sure children had mattresses to lie on, blankets and pillows. Harriet and the Omega Balder sent with her mindlinked me to keep them talking and eating for a little while, as they were sorting through placements as fast as they could. I gave this information to Balder and Cassian, who like his Alpha was doing his very best to greet people and make them comfortable. Packmembers came too. Word spread like wildfire, and suddenly children were getting a teddy, some new clothes or an adult gave a youngster a shoulder to lean

Cian P.O.V.“AAAAAAAAAHHHH WHAT IS HAPPENING?” The scream penetrates the quiet night air as I glide over the Iron Mountain packgrounds, scouting after the people I need to speak to. The pack, that should be in bed resting, is all in a flurry of motion and I understand why when I sense a lot of foreign aura’s and then I hear the scream again. “AAAAAHRG. IT HURTS!” The voice is distinctly female, but it takes me a couple of seconds to recognize it as Luna Lillies. I zoom in on the little cluster closer to the pack hospital where a woman, unconscious for all it seems, and Luna Lillie on the ground writhing in pain. Alpha Balder hovers over his mate, seemingly not sure what to do or how to act, and I quickly land on the ground near them with enough force to spark a reaction. “Crown Prince Cian?” Alpha Balder asks, and I nod in greeting. “Let’s put away the titles, Alpha. I’m here as a friend.” “Do you know what is going on?” He asks, his eyes landing on his mate as she screams out i

Balder P.O.V.Laine rests for the night in the hospital, and Lillie refuses to leave her mother’s side at all. I request a guest bed to be brought into the room, which the personnel bring within the first hour, and I thank them with sincerity. I can feel the struggle within Lillie, and I do my best to be there for her, but she just want to wait for her mother and not focus on herself. I want to focus on her and her mother, but right now I can just hold her close on the guest bed, and ask her to sleep. I will keep an eye on her mom and make sure she is alright all through the night. She is. Nothing happens, and people just mindlink me with details about our new people, and the warriors about the trail which is cold from Aron teleporting out the moment he realised Lillie and Ilisa figured him out. I’m still angry with myself about the fact that he got away, but it is what it is right now, and we will find him again, and when we do, I’ll kill him. Just after dawn I get a mindlink from

Druida P.O.V.After Silvan left with Aron last night I had that feeling. The one you have when something monumental is about to happen, when timelines are about to be made or changed and you can either work with them, try to fight them or die being torn between the two options. Jess came back down like another storm coming in, and demanded I stay with her in the Great Hall, which I just agreed to to keep the peace to be honest. She then tried to tell Lucas to leave us alone, but he snorted and escorted me in again and sat us down at a nearby table. Jess also sat down, but she didn’t say or do anything for the longest time. She just stared into the air, as if she was waiting for something or someone. Then her eyes slightly clouded over for a brief second, and she finally glared at me with a scowl so deep I had to fight myself to not laugh. It took her another minute before she actually spoke. “Elisa will be released either tonight or in the morning. She is my personal witch, my con

Lucas P.O.V.After I’m asked to leave, nicely, I set out to explore our new home, and find somewhere where I can mindlink my parents and Cian in peace. There’s clear paths made with strewn sand in the grass, and tents in different sizes and colors all around us. Besides mine and my mates home, there’s a larger tent, and the crew I ask says it’s of course Silvans. I ask if I can take a peak inside, and they shrug and pretend to look the other way.It has four rooms, two bedrooms, which is natural as I know by now that both Silvan and Jessica utterly refuse to sleep in the same room, but I also have a feeling he is going to order her to stay close because of the matemark situation. If she dies, he does as well. It’s a curse and a blessing having a mate, getting marked. Personally I wouldn’t want to live on if my mate died, so I don’t care about that bit, but my selfish entitled brother has always been of another mind. Even when we were children. The third room is a meeting room filled
