CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE Irina's POV  Mikhail was not surprised that I was alive, his face showed no shock, no confusion. He must have known, he must have figured out that Alexei had faked my death. He walked past me without even looking at me, his eyes were fixed on something behind me. I turned and saw Alexei standing there, frozen, his face showed emotions I had never seen before. CHAPTER FORTY-SIX Dimitri's POV  They brought me food three times a day. Breakfast was usually bread and eggs, lunch was rice and vegetables, dinner was meat and potatoes. The food was good, better than I expected, and there was always plenty of water. But I was not satisfied, I was not comfortable. I wanted to leave this basement. The walls felt like they were closing in on me. CHAPTER FORTY-NINE Irina's POV  The car drove for hours through the night, leaving the city far behind. I watched through the window as buildings became smaller, as streets became narrower, as lights became fewer. We were going somewhere rural, somewhere quiet, somewhere far from everything I knew. My tears had dried up finally, I had no more tears left to cry, I just felt empty inside. The baby kicked suddenly.
