Lizabella Of all the things I had expected Damian to say to me… that was the least of them and I hated it. Yet his words still echoed in my head as I sat stiffly in the passenger seat, with my heart fluttering like it had lost all sense. I hated that reaction and I hated how my chest tightened, how warmth slipped through the cracks I’d spent weeks reinforcing. It wasn’t the words themselves, it was the softness in them.
