All Chapters of My Pretty Little Kitten : Chapter 21 - Chapter 30

GiannaI don't understand why I feel apprehensive, I want this but there's a vulnerability hitting me that I just can't brush off.But still, despite the warning in my head I type back.Me: I want to see your cockMy heart slams loudly against my ribs, so hard I feel it in my throat. I stare at my phone screen, suddenly feel as though it's a snake ready to bite my fingers. What the hell am I doing? I am supposed to be putting a wedge between myself and this unabashed lust driving me into insanity.Tamer's bubble appears and disappears again. A sudden tension coils in the depth of my stomach. Why is he hesitating? Is this his way of teasing me into oblivion?I chew the insides of my cheek, until the only sound I hear is blood rushing in my ears. Finally my phone chimes with a text from him. Tamer: And there's my pretty kitten. Tamer: But you have to earn that.My breath hitches, sweat making my hands all clammy. I should tell him I can't do that, I don't know how to earn it or prob

GiannaYeah, dinner is over, at least in my head. Barely fifteen minutes in, but it feels like two hours.I snatch the spoon from Kevin’s hands, the chair screeching against the floor as I bolt for the kitchen with the rest of the dishes.Bartending finally paid off, because dropping a dish after my ridiculous performance would have been mortifying. Hell, even now it feels a little embarrassing.I set the dishes in the sink and let out a long breath. I need a minute away from both of them, away from the weight of their eyes.Every day I continue this fake relationship with Kevin, I see new sides to him. Tonight it didn’t feel fake at all. It felt… real. Comforting in a way I'm not ready to admit out loud. I run my hands over the counter, leaning on it as my chest hitches. Dmitry was calm tonight but his eyes read differently, like a storm being held down and we know, I know how impossible it is to still a storm. Kevin, on the other hand, just existed, like a perfect seal in my heart

GiannaShit.I glance over at the clock again, like it might change its mind. 12:03 p.m.Just great. Two weeks here and my routine is officially unrecognizable, sleeping late, eating whenever, having other people at my beck and call. Which should bother me but for whatever reason it doesn't. Dmitry has been painfully polite since the kitchen incident, keeping a respectful distance, making sure not to speak out of turn like we're both pretending we didn't nearly kiss that day. It's almost worse than him leaving me, at least then I could be angry.Kevin, on the other hand, has been amazing. After my plea to help me forget Dmitry, he's been an angel, one day at a time with him. We aren’t official, not really, but he treats me like I'm some little creature he can't afford to lose. Still, if I’m honest? Most of the heavy lifting has been done by Tamer. The thought settles uncomfortably in my chest. He’s been… perfect. The gifts. The attention. The way he listens without asking questions

DmitryI have tortured myself for the past week because I wanted to respect her wish. Because I wanted to show her how different I am.And look what happened. Some fucking lunatics thought they could ambush her. Touch her. Fucking try to scare her.My woman. The thought gnaws deep in my chest, sharp and relentless, with only one escape. Making sure I find them. Making sure they pay for the fear she faced.Fuck.And that savior, the one she is all fangirling over. That girl fits only one person. Someone who should not be back here in New York.I pray it isn’t her.Footsteps rush down the stairs and I glance up. Gia is descending, hair plaited back, dressed in soft home clothes. Safe clothes. The kind she wears when she thinks nothing can touch her.She stops when she sees me standing instead of sitting.“Dmitry?” Her voice is soft. Careful. “What’s wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?”Annoyance coils in my gut. Annoyed she didn’t tell me. Annoyed she thought she had to carry it

GiannaThe tracks are everything I imagined it'd be, rowdy. I nearly sprint back into my Uber when my eyes land on a familiar, tall chestnut-haired girl.Do I call her name? Even if I did, there’s no way she’d hear me over the noise.Just then, Roxy turns over to where I'm standing like she can actually sense me. Her eyes widen, surprise flashing across her face before it breaks into a childish grin. She lifts her arm and starts waving like a madwoman, completely unapologetic about it.I barely have time to react before she’s pushing through people, brushing shoulders, murmuring apologies she clearly doesn’t mean."You made it, damsel.”The grin on her face is contagious, wide and genuine and completely unguarded. It pulls a small giggle that feels out of place here leaves my mouth, and she stops laughing then starts again.Up close, she smells sweet which isn't something I'd expect from her. Not because she's a biker but because of how rough her hands are. She didn't pique me as the
