Lahat ng Kabanata ng Wrong Bride, True Luna: Kabanata 101 - Kabanata 110

AmeliaI settle into the new house surprisingly fast. Sandy helps me with starting to set up the nursery and our days are so busy, filled with laughter and everyday tasks as I prepare for the baby that I don’t notice how fast time passes. Today is Ethan’s birthday, so I’m a little anxious. I’m standing in the kitchen, sipping tea while Sandy is wiping the counters. Setting aside the cup, I clear my throat, “is Alpha planning to come over for dinner today?” Sandy turns her head to look at me and smiles. “Yes, he is. You asked that a couple of times already, Amelia,” she answers in a teasing tone. Glancing at the clock, I realize it’s already five in the afternoon. I ignore the burning of my cheeks and quickly tie an apron around my waist. “I’ll start working on his birthday cake then.” “Do you need my help?” Sandy offers. I shake my head. “No, I can make it. Honestly, if I wasn’t pregnant and Alpha wasn’t so busy all the time, I would throw him a party the same as he did for my bi

AmeliaMy head snaps to the side, eyes widen as I try to see how close the guard might have gotten. It’s too dark to tell, so I panic and turn back to Logan. “Leave!” I whisper-hiss. “You need to get out of here before they catch you!” Logan hesitates for a moment, then grabs my wrist and yanks my hand closer to him. Before I can pull away, he opens my hand and presses something cold into my palm, then closes my fingers around it. “I’ll come back for you,” he whispers. “This isn’t an empty promise or a lie, Amelia.”Logan doesn’t give me time to answer, he simply releases his hold on me, takes a few steps back, then disappears into the garden. Just mere seconds after his silhouette fades completely, the guards rush over to me. “Miss Amelia, what are you doing out here?” One of them asks, checking me for injuries. “It’s not safe out here, especially at this hour,” another guard adds, looking around, but keeping the attack a secret from me.I don’t bother telling them that Logan

Logan As the night falls, I settle down to rest in the base near Fangport. I know I need to rest and gather strength more than ever, especially with the looming war, but I can’t shut down my thoughts. Suddenly, footsteps approach me and I jump up, turning around sharply, expecting an enemy to approach, but relax the moment I realize it’s Marcel. “Alpha,” he greets me with a slight bow of his head. “Are you alright? I just received the news that the warriors have returned to the Capital.” “That’s good,” I mutter and run a hand down my face. The relief that washes over me is short lived because judging by the way Marcel still lingers, there’s something he’s not telling me. “Spill.” Marcel hesitates, then clears his throat and looks away. “The king ordered me to bring you back to the Capital to prepare for Ethan’s attack.” “Fuck,” I hiss under my breath and run a hand though my hair in frustration. “Derrick agreed I can stay and watch over Deadfang a little longer.” Marcel nods s

LoganI still find it hard to believe how easy it is to bypass Ethan’s guards at night. This time, as I slip into the garden behind Amelia’s house, I don’t need to knock anyone out. All I need to remain unnoticed is a simple, black coat with a hood over my head. Even from a distance, her sweet, intoxicating scent of roses overwhelms me. I take a step closer to the house and my eyes find Amelia immediately as she stands up and turns towards the house, then suddenly freezes. Hope rushes through me like a wave—I told Amelia I’ll come back to get her and she’s out here, waiting for me to return. “Amelia,” I call out to her quietly, making myself known. She turns slowly and my heart just… stops. Amelia has always been beautiful, but right now, with her features illuminated by the moon and the roundness of her belly as she carries our child, she reminds me of a real life Goddess. For a moment, I forget how to breathe, too taken by her beauty, but as I approach her, I notice the seri

AmeliaI’m lucky Sandy doesn’t notice the note, but I’m still very surprised to see it at all. “So? Will you go? You should think about how you can sneak out unnoticed again.” My wolf urges me. “I’m not going anywhere,” I answer my wolf finally. “I already told him my goodbyes, that chapter of our life is closed.” My voice is colder than I intend it to be, but at least the tone is serious enough to deliver the point. She huffs and for a moment, I let myself believe she accepts the answer, but of course, that’s not the case. Instead, she decides to argue. “Can’t you at least consider it and decide a little later? I honestly think that we should give him a chance.” “What, are you siding with Logan now?” I ask her, my tone dripping with mockery. Before my wolf can utter a word, Sandy walks to my side, grinning from ear to ear. “So, how is it? Do you like this dessert?” I shift a little, hoping I’m hiding the note good enough for her not to notice. “Yes, it’s surprisingly good. I d
