I take a quick look around us—we’re trapped in what looks like a dungeon. The place is dark and smells awfully like mold and whatever else might be here. With every beat of my heart panic rises in me. While I try my best to stay calm, the tremble of my voice gives out how terrified I am. “We need to get out of here,” I whisper to Katherine. As I turn my head to look at her again, I realize that she’s unnervingly calm. “Don’t start overreacting again, Amelia,” she groans and rolls her eyes. The way she’s holding herself together and speaking puts me on edge. “But then again,” she adds slowly and tu
