Maya woke up alone in Dominic's bed. Sunlight filled the room making her squeeze her eyes. She reached for her phone on the nightstand. Nine thirty. She'd slept through her alarm, that she didn't here it ring. Through her eight o'clock class, through everything.She sat up fast and immediately regretted it. Her head spun. Her body ached from tension she'd been carrying for days. She layed down immediately tonlet her rest before sitting up again. She needed coffee. Needed to get to campus. The clubhouse was packed by the time they arrived. Every Iron Wolf in the city had arrived for the emergency meeting. The parking lot walls filled with motorcycles. Inside the main room men stood in groups talking in low but urgent voices.Maya walked in feeling every eye turn toward her watching her.She wasn't supposed to be here.
