Lahat ng Kabanata ng The biker who broke fate: Kabanata 41 - Kabanata 50

The Vipers' clubhouse looked like a prison, concrete walls everywhere, barred windows, guard towers on each corner with men holding rifles, getting inside would be a little bit too hard, getting out alive would be almost impossible. "This is insane." Jake pulled up next to Dominic. "We're twelve guys against their entire club." "I know the math." Dominic off his engine. "Anyone wants to back out now's the time." Nobody moved, Maya felt a swell of something she couldn't name on her throat, even though these men knew they might die in the next hour, they came anyway, the chances of survival was low. "There." Connor pointed at a side entrance. "Service door. Less fortified than the main gate." "Still guarded." Dominic pulled out binoculars. "Two guys. Maybe three inside." "We take them quiet." Jake already had his knife out. "Get inside before anyone knows we're here." "And then what?" Maya asked. "Where's Riley?" "Probably upstairs." Dominic studied the building. "Center r

They rode down the street until the gas was exhausted, stopped at a truck station miles away, everyone looked like ghosts, eyes hollow, pale faces , still processing everything that happened back in the city.Maya stumbled off Dominic's bike and her legs couldn't hold her anymore they gave out, she hit the pavement hard, but Dominic caught her before her head touched the concrete ground.“I've got you.”He lifted her up like she weighed nothing, but she actually weighs nothing compared to the way he was built up. Jake got a room for them, corner found food, every other biker fuelled up and got some rest.”The motel was worse than the former one, the presents were peeling off, stained carpet, broken doors, cockroaches in the bathroom, but Maya didn't care, all she wanted was to collapse on the bed and rest."You need to eat something even if it's little." Dominic sat beside her. "Connor brought a burger and chips.""Not hungry." Maya's voice sounded so low from exhaustion and tiredn

Maya and Dominic headed to the Canadian border, while they meet the rest there,Tommy's kids were back to there mother, six Vipers were killed in the cause of the rescue of the kids, their had escalated beyond anything Maya could have imagined. "We cross in an hour." Dominic looked exhausted. "Documents are ready. Story is solid. We're a group of friends heading to Vancouver for vacation." "What about the bikes?" Jake gestured to the motorcycles. "Border patrol will remember a group of bikers." "We ditch them." Dominic's voice was heavy. "Leave them here. Pick up cars on the other side. It's the only way to cross without raising flags." Maya watched the men say goodbye to their bikes. Saw them run their hands over gas tanks and seats. These weren't just vehicles. They were part of their identity. Leaving them behind meant leaving part of themselves. "Here." Connor handed Maya a passport. "Your name will be Sarah Bennet from this point. You're a graphic designer from Portland. Me

They drove for six hours straight and nobody spoke. Riley sat in the back of Jake's truck wrapped in a blanket and Maya rode with Dominic with her arms around his waist all her body was aching from pain. When they finally stopped it was at another safehouse and this one looked worse than all the others combined with peeling paint and boarded windows, it was the kind of place people went to disappear."Inside." Dominic said. "Everyone."The club filed in and there were twelve men total and all of them were exhausted and covered in soot and blood. Carol was already there and she took one look at Riley and her facial expression changed immediately."Get her cleaned up." Carol told one of the other women. "Then bring her to the main room."Riley limped away without meeting anyone's eyes, Maya wanted to follow but Dominic grabbed her arm." No, not yet." He grabbed her hand and tried dragging her to a side room. "We need to have a discussion right now.""I know what you're about to say."

Dawn came too fast. Maya hadn't slept at all. Just sat in that corner watching everyone else try to rest. Some managed it. Most didn't.Dominic was up first. Started checking weapons. Making calls. Planning whatever came next."We need supplies," he told Jake. "Food. Water. Medical stuff. Ammo.""I'll make a run," Jake said. "Take two guys. Be back in an hour.""Be careful," Dominic said. "They're looking for us."Jake left with Connor and another guy. The rest of them sat around waiting. Nobody talked much. What was there to say.Carol came over and sat next to Maya, but was quiet. Didn't say anything at first. Just sat there."You holding up okay?" she finally asked."Not really to be honest," Maya said. "My mind keeps thinking about the guys who we're unable to make it out. About how all this is happening because of my mistake, my fault.""It's not your fault at all don't say such a thing," Carol said. "The Vipers started this. Not you.""I could've walked away at the beginning. Wh
