Klevis's POV When Luan’s name appeared on my screen after the text message I sent, a smirk appeared on my face.Fool. I thought you didn't want to take my calls. Now look who's calling. I thought I answered the call immediately and told him the situation at the warehouse. I waited until I saw the flash of the headlight of his car from afar before rushing into the warehouse.I carried out just two of the cartons of the products in the warehouse before Luan's men rushed in to assist.I pretended to look weak as I stumbled out of the warehouse, getting Luan's attention. KLEVIS'S POVThe car stopped a few meters away from the cabin, the trees perfectly hiding us.I had turned off the engine to avoid raising attention to us. The woods felt too quiet.I stepped out first, scanning the surroundings. The cabin sat crooked among the trees, smoke-stained walls almost hidden by vines. If I were a man on the run, a place like this is exactly where I would hide.“He’s in there,” Luan said beside me, his voice tight with anger. “I can feel it.”I turned to him slowly, measuring my words. This was the moment. One wrong sentence and everything would crumble.“Luan,” I said, lowering my voice, “You shouldn’t go in first.”He frowned. “Why not?” he asked.“This man burned a warehouse. LAUN'S POV.I lost Klevis in the woods and tried all my best to find him. I even shouted his name as loud as I could. I already began to regret why I had agreed to his plan in the first place. Now, he was going to take the fall for me. Hearing the gun shot shattered my heart. For the first time in a very long while, fear gripped my chest. I have never felt that scared in years. The last time I felt that way was when my sister was being tortured when we were kidnapped as kids. All of these and more went through my head as I sat a little far away from Klevis in the hospital room. What was it called again? Yes, a ward. I watched Klevis lay there unconscious and helpless. LUAN.“Why would I try to escape?” I asked him. “Nobody knows yet.” He replied.I didn't bother saying another word to him because there was no point. I walked to the bathroom even though I had a hard time figuring out where it was. These people here were just crazy because all of them gave me different directions to the bathroom. I had to figure it out myself. As soon as I got inside, I pulled out my phone from my pocket on my right hand side. I unlocked as fast as I could. I went to my contact list on the phone application and searched for my lawyer's contact information. All I had to do was input his name on the “search contacts” bar. On the first dail and ring he picked up. “How may I help you Don Valdrin?” He asked.“I'm in so much trouble, I just need you to use your influence to hold these policemen off…” He didn't let me complete my statement before he cut in, “slow down. Tell me everything.” As soon as he said that, I heard Agent Peterson’s voice. He has just walked into the
