Sixty one- Steak and wine.

Maren's pov I flipped the steak in my pan, I am treating Rylee to dinner and I want it to be a proper dinner. So I chose steak. And I am starting to regret it. Maybe I have just ordered some burgers. My legs were giving out and the steak seemed to be taking a lot of time. She told me she had some mess to clean and I know that mess belongs to one of the Seattle Icehawks members. But who I don't know, I have watched a video of a woman talking about a NHL hockey player who had a one night stand with her friend and it might be one of the Seattle Icehawks member. And I bet the friend was attractive. I didn't check the comment section because I had a call at that time. I heard the door open, “Rylee?” I called, she was the only one who had the key to my apartment so I called her to let her know I was in the kitchen. I soon heard the sound of her heels clicking against the floor, “Hey,” she sniffed the air, “You are making Steak” she said, a small smile on her face “yes I am

Sixty two-Maren and Shirley

Gideon's pov“This is the newly designed jersey that we will be wearing for our very next home game, since we are not having much of a home game this month. It will be like a comeback” Mr Eamon said and everyone clapped their eyes on the screen.I don't know why he chooses to do this himself but it is hilarious that he is presenting a New Jersey to us.“What do you have to add, Captain?” Mr Eamon asked Jaxon.“Nothing to add or subtract, the jersey is nice” Jaxon gave his reply.“Good” Mr Eamon smiled, “if you may excuse me, I have a phone call to answer” He brought out his phone and rushed out of the meeting room.“What did Miss Hugo say?” Jaxon asked suddenly, almost scaring my soul out my body.“For Christ sake, Jaxon give an head start at times” I said to him, “I am sorry” he grinned, “so what did she say?”“She will fix it and she didn't yell at me this time.” I tell Jaxon.“What?!” He let out with a laugh, “She didn't what? That's not her but another person” “She is the one ex

Sixty three- Perfect match.

Maren's pov“Shirley Aubrey is a bit*h” That was what Rylee said when I told her what I and Shirley Aubrey discussed. She doesn't know I have talked to the lady until when I had to explain from the beginning.Thinking of yesterday morning, I would agree Shirley is a bit*h because she is unnecessarily rude. After Shirley asked if we could talk, we moved to a corner in the rooftop restaurant. Apparently she came to threaten me that if I dare to use whatever she had said against her in the future, she would make sure to ruin me.But I wasn't that kind of person, to use someone’s feelings and secrets against them and I would never be.The accusation hurts but I just ignored it and nodded. When I told Rylee what had happened, she was so mad.“I can't believe she is that rude” Rylee said suddenly, we are thinking the same thing.“Me too, I am a fan of hers you know” I let out, “it is disappointing that she is like that” I shook my head.Rylee sat up, “You know She had Gideon suit themse

Sixty four- Sasha and her baby brother.

Gideon's pov“And we are at Gideon's penthouse!!” Jake yelled loudly, making me shake my head. “You should invite us for a celebration of loss but either way we are still in the game” Jake rambled off,I picked up my bags, Jaxon smiled as he put his hand forward for a handshake. I chuckled, “We are no longer kids” I tell him He just shrugged, “You look like you need it”I took his hand and did our friend handshake, “Patton, get off the bus. We also need to get to our houses” I heard Coach yelled,“I will soon be off the bus, Coach and you gonna miss me” I joked,The coach snarked as Jake started singing a song with his cracked voice, I stepped off the bus knowing they would all ask Jake to stop singing. And as soon as I was alone, Malrien drifted into my mind. It's been a week since I called her asking about Shirley and she sounded pissed and uncomfortable when she answered.I get she would be pissed after asking what she and Shirley had talked about, not thinking Shirley might have

Sixty five- Invitation to his game.

Maren's pov“This is a nice painting, you did a good job.” Abel said as he examined my latest painting, “Oh I love when an artist puts their emotions in their art. This is beautiful”“Thank you” I smiled, “You are welcome,” He said as he sat up properly, “I have a job offer for you since you are good when it comes to painting people. I don't know if you are interested’“Yes I am,” I sat up as long it is not going to distract me from my ongoing work” I smiled,“It won't, A good client of mine also love your style so he wants you to paint his wife” Abel explained“Oh…that's lovely” I said, “She is dead actually, so he wants to describe her from his memory. It is something very emotional for him” Abel stated. That is sad, “He will be coming to the next exhibition, you can discuss with him there”“That will be good, no problem” I answered the man, I picked up my purse as I stood up from my seat.“Great, I will let the client know you are interested” Abel said as he took stands.“Thank

Sixty six- Fan signing.

Gideon's povI glanced at my phone again. No reply from Maren, has she not check the package? What is she doing? Why has she not check it yet?“I think you should start signing, The girl is waiting,” Jaxon nudge my arm as he whispered, I glanced at the girl standing behind the table. About eleven years old, a fan apparently.I sat up with a smile on my face when he saw I was smiling too, The girl’s smile spread widened. “Hello, I am Gideon and you are?”“Winnie” She replied as she placed a picture of me, As she was holds a plushie of the icehawks Seattle mascot under arms.“Winnie, how are you doing?” I asked, picking up a pen to sign my autograph on her picture. “Can I see you have a lot of fan mechaindes?” I smiled. Winnie smiled brightly at me, “My mom brought them for me” she answered with a small voice,“Okay, where's your mom?” I questioned, Winnie turned and point to a woman who was already looking at us with a smile.I smiled back, “Do you want a picture?” I asked as I glance

Sixty seven- I don't want to

Maren's povIt was Saturday. And I am anxious, I have tried on different ways to style my hair and yet not okay with them.My makeup is done but the hair is the problem so I gave up and let them done straight.I glanced at myself in the mirror, It reminded me of when I was still in highschool. Pushing back memories, I picked up my shoulder bag and glanced at my outfit that includes Gideon's jersey and a baggy pair of jeans. It is comfy and good to go.“You look great, Maren” I tell myself and reapply my lipgloss before putting it in my bag and walking out of my room.I picked up my keys and walked out of my apartment, I scrolled through my gram page. There was a blog that it headline says; Do you know that Gideon Patton’s girlfriend is an artist?I scrolled through with a faint smile spreading across my lips, I entered the elevator hoping not met any if my neighbors who are a fan of Gideon. And thankfully I didn't met any till I get into my ride. When the car stopped in front of the

Sixty eight- Not this night.

Gideon povI placed my helmet on the locker and started removing my gears, I turned and Jaxon wasn't in yet.Probably still in the bleachers, taking pictures with fans.“We did well tonight and we will make it the series” Jake said, he is obviously sad about the way tonight’s game turns out.Everyone was sad, the high spirits were not present, everyone went around. Doing their thing.“Who wants to have a drink with me?” Jake asked, “please..” he begged I Chuckled. The rest of us laughed, and five of our teammates agreed to go out with him. I can't go with them tonight but I needed to talk to Maren. The door pushed and Coach came in, “Gideon, You need to see something” He said then I heard a loud noise.I rushed past him and headed to the bleachers, Maren was supposed to be waiting for me right outside this door. Then I paused, Maren was standing behind Jaxon. Petrified. My gaze landed on Dylan, who was trying to reach for Maren while Jaxon tells him to stay back. The hell is this f**

Sixty nine- Switching up.

Maren's pov.I scrolled through my page and the video from that night at Gideon's game kept showing on my page.I slid into the comments, many were talking trash about me. Saying I left Dylan for Gideon. If only they knew.I am lucky to have some people defend me which made me happy, I don't blame the people who were talking trash. Dylan said some things that don't happen trying to act like a victim.I still can't believe he does that just because I don't want to speak with him.Even though it has been four days, The videos of Dylan spilling nonsense were still trending and even surpassed the likes of the videos of I am Gideon kissing.I let out a sigh.My mind drifted back to Gideon, we haven't talked since that night. He was clearly angry. So am I.I wished I hadn't met Dylan, I hated him now. But I don't want ruin like he did. I hope he will stay away after this because he hasn't tried to text me.I clicked on a video of a woman, who also is talking about the video. Everyone is tr

Seventy- Don't be harsh.

Gideon's povI opened my water bottle and glanced at Jaxon who was on the floor scrolling through his phone. We are at the Gym and we just finished with our exercises, “Do you know that Dylan Crosby, is a business man? His business is just growing” Jaxon asked.I paused my movement, a familiar wave of anger washed through me. I still can't understand why Maren refused to sue him for assault. He had been a jerk. And since she doesn't want me to be concerned about it, I shouldn't care.Angry at the fact, she doesn't want to talk to or listen to anything I have to say.And I can't understand how I felt about her calling us friends…I don't know… what to make out of my feelings.Everything just seems….I have thought about calling or texting her but I stopped myself.Maybe we both need space, we both have a lot of things that we are dealing with.“I don't know that” I shrugged, Actually I did know. I looked up the bastard to know who I might be dealing with. But finds out he is just a blo
