CHAPTER 10ROWANThe door to my hospital room swung open with a soft whoosh, and in came Mara and Lila, flanked by two stone-faced guards. Lila spotted me first and broke into a run, her little legs pumping as she launched herself at the bed.“Rowan!” she squealed, climbing up with Mara’s help. “You’re awake!
