Elena POV The wind whipped my face and wet grass tickled the underside of my paws as I raced after Draven, into the forest. Birds took off from their nests into the air as I brushed past tree after tree, every single one of them desperate to avoid cosplaying a late night snack. I couldn’t shake off the typical moistness of the forest that clung to my snout and even my fur. It was full of the smell of earth, of flowers I couldn’t possibly name and a slight bittersweet smell that I could almost taste on the tip of my tongue.
