~Celina~“What? Pregnant? Who? I am not pregnant!” I denied vehemently, looking at the strange intensity in his eyes. Even though I had known him for three years, I had never seen such a manic look in his eyes. Suddenly, I didn’t want him to know about our baby. I just wanted to keep my baby safe, even if it was from his own father. “Oh. So I must have heard wrong then,” he said, and I nodded, relief spreading through me.“Then you don’t mind having a check-up, do you?” He asked suddenly, and I froze.“Ch- check-up? Why?”“Because I said so,” he said, a taunting smirk on his face, and I shook my head. “No, Logan. I am not pregnant. And I don’t want to have a check-up.”“Shut up! ~Celina ~With wide eyes, I ducked behind the pillar, my heart beating wildly against my ribcage. If I were caught now, I wouldn’t even get a chance to talk to him before Logan locked me somewhere else. I stood there, not even daring to breathe loudly for a moment. But when nothing happened, I peeked from behind the pillar. On seeing that the Alpha King was still talking to Logan as if nothing was amiss, I breathed a sigh of relief. Before any more trouble could come my way, I darted out from behind the pillar and rushed towards the east wing, where the Alpha King’s room had been prepared. After making sure there was no one around, I slipped into the room before closing the door behind me. I stood leaning against it, my breath coming in pants. As I wondered how to convince Derek to help me, my hand went to my belly instinctively. I froze, wondering if he would refuse to take me with him if he knew I was carrying Logan’s heir.
