Lahat ng Kabanata ng Rise Of The Hidden Heiress: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

~Jess~I have waited so long for this day.Today, my mate, Alpha Dominic, will fulfill the promise he made to me.We’ve been together for three years, three years of love, trust, and loyalty. So, I took my time to bake us an anniversary cake to celebrate not just our milestone, but the fact that Alpha Dominic will be announcing me as his Luna, today.Balancing the ganache cake tray on my right hand carefully, I walk toward his home office.I’m almost at the entrance when I overhear voices coming from inside the home office.“Rosie Aster is coming back, Alpha. And in my book, she is the only one befitting the title of your girlfriend and our future Luna. Not that little Omega doctor called Jess.” A voice I recognize as that of Nathan, one of Dominic’s friends, says. The statement hit me like a gut punch. If I didn't just overhear Nathan’s statement, I would have sworn that a few of Dominic’s friends who know me liked me a lot."Why not?" Dominic asks Nathan, cutting through my thoughts

Somehow, I had managed to head back to my room and collapsed on the bed.A not-so-friend, Alexa Hardey, had invited me to her housewarming pool party a couple of days ago, and although I’d been planning to skip it, I suddenly wanted to go.Alexa is a friend from Dominic’s social circle and one of the few ladies I fairly get along with, despite her privileged background and the fact that she regards me as a low-level Omega like others. If she’s throwing a party, that means she's inviting everyone in Dominic's social circle. What better opportunity to meet them all?Despite dating Dominic for years, I only managed to meet a few of his friends. He rarely takes me to these elite functions.I guess the only thing he liked about me is the fact that I reminded him of his ex, Rosie. And he wouldn't mind caging me up just to be able to see the face of his ex-girlfriend whenever he wishes.Well, this party can be an opportunity to remind myself that I can breathe and exist outside of Dominic.A

When I woke up, I instantly made the decision to start the process of my resignation.I’d rather go back home and put up with my father's stringent conditions than allow them to continuously treat me this way.Opening my eyes to the morning light has me wincing from the effect of the excess brightness.Someone is sitting in the corner chair, one hand resting on her knee, the other scrolling through a tablet.“Dorothy?” I croak. She looks up immediately. “You’re awake,” she says and brings the thermometer close to check my temperature. “Your fever has broken.”“I thought your shift was just for ten hours. How come you're still here?” I ask quietly.“I wasn’t going to leave you here all by yourself, after seeing what happened between you and the Alpha last night. I also saw the Rosie girl leave your room last night, and I was worried,” she replies simply, handing me a cup of water. “Besides, my annual leave starts tomorrow. It’s not like I have anywhere I need to be."I sip the water, t

~Jess~The online wildfire has finally begun to die down. After the PR job I did with the hospital team, the criticism from people has gradually been suppressed.Still, I am determined to prove my innocence and exonerate my name from the nasty scandal.I owe myself that much.I've worked my ass off to get to this point in my career, and I won't let anyone ruin my efforts.I have just gotten back from my morning shift when my phone rings. It is from one of the receptionists at the hospital’s front desk.“Doctor W-Whi-White,” she stammers, “Can you come to the hospital? The patient’s family is here, and they are making a scene demanding that the Alpha give them an explanation as to why their son was humiliated by the hospital staff, and nothing has been done about it.”Goddess! At this point, I don't even blame the patient’s family. I expected Alpha Dominic to hold a meeting with the patient's family and at least assure them that he is looking into the matter. As the Alpha of this Pack,

~Dominic~ As I storm out of the private room, I reminisce about my journey with Jess so far. Hurting Jess isn’t something I want to do. She may not be my ideal Luna, but she's a nice girl, and I’m certain that breaking up with her is going to make her hurt way too much. If she already acts like this while we’re still together, then all hell will let loose when I tell her it's over. So, I have to be diplomatic about it. Even though I've decided that she cannot be my Luna because she is neither at my level nor caliber, I won't dump her. If there is anything Jess is good at, it's hard work and dedication. She is an Omega after all, and those are mostly the characteristics of Omega females. They are good with the act of service, and they are very obedient she-wolves. But recently, Jess seems to have changed. Her character seems to have taken a turn for the worse, and it worries me that I don’t know what is going on in that head of hers. I know I haven’t been available to her, but
