Heat, that was all I felt. Sweat dripped from his body onto mine, and I clung to him like my last shred of sanity lay in that grip. I walked into the bar with the most confidence I could gather. I said I was going to have fun, and I planned on keeping my word. We walked in as the soft music hit me immediately. Was I pissed? Hell yeah. Am I ever going to admit the reason for my anger out loud? Probably not—but it sure did have something to do with how Knight got me all riled up and then just dipped like that. Like we were playing some push-and-pull game.
