MIA“Are you ready? You can't back down now.” Elara gave me a look and sighed. “I should be asking you that. What if you get caught? What will we say?” That won't happen. That can't happen. XAVIERThere were guards coming up the stairs. We could hear their footsteps and conversations. Mia and I looked at each other with widened eyes. We needed a place to hide. There was no way we could go back outside to the roof because the door made a lot of noise due to the old hinges. “We need to do something, fast.” Their voices were getting closer. We were stuck. We couldn't go back and we couldn't go forward. Then Black came to the rescue. “To your left, there's a door. It's an old janitor's closet. Get in, you can change into a uniform. Just make sure your face is hidden.”I grabbed the door handle, yanking it open and shutting it slowly behind me. Inside my bag, were tools I knew I would need dealing with something like this so I got our my screwdrivers and my headlight.
