Gavin POV“When you’re done training, Gavin, they need you in your father’s office,” Beta Julian called from his place at the top of the field. I acknowledged him with a wave, keeping my eyes on Ross the entire time. I wouldn’t put it past him to take a cheap shot while his dad distracted me. We’d grown up together and knew each other’s fighting style like it was our own, so these sparring sessions often turned into endurance sessions. That meant he’d take any chance to land a hit.As expected, he swung his fist, aiming for my face. I dodged, leaning back out of his reach, then followed up with a kick to his back as he overextended himself. “You just couldn’t help yourself, could you?” I taunted.
