Jenn’s POV As if sensing us, Bree was already waiting outside the infirmary when we arrived. She rushed towards us, taking over from me swiftly and efficiently. He’d already lost a lot of blood, but I was sure we could salvage this. “Put him on the table,” she ordered quickly, already pulling on her gloves. I stepped back as she took over, forcing myself to breathe, to remember my place. I was not the healer here. At least, not officially. I was just Luna who’d found a dying stranger in the woods and rescued him. Bree worked swiftly, barking instructions as her assistants rushed to obey. I hovered near the doorway, arms folded tightly over my chest, watching as she assessed his wounds. Her brow furrowed in concentration. “These injuries are bad,” she muttered. “Do you have any idea what must have caused them?” I swallowed hard, shaking my head. “I found him that way,” I said quietly. “He must have been attacked and wandered into our territory.” Bree nodded. “I’ll stabilize him,”
