SKYE’S POV We left Seabreak three days later with the tide at our backs. The refugees from Talren remained in the harbor warehouses, but they no longer looked like people waiting in shock. The children had claimed corners for games. The fishermen were already discussing replacement boats. The healers had organized routines. Life, stubborn as the sea itself, had begun pushing through the cracks of loss.
