Evelyn's POVThe steady rhythm of something beeping lulled my consciousness back to some waking world. At first, I wasn't sure if it was some afterlife or the real world. As my body started to wake up, pain immediately began to pulse throughout my body. It also felt like someone took a hammer to my head.Well, I was definitely in the real world.I groaned out in pain and struggled to open my eyes. Wherever I was, the light was low and non-invasive. Once I finally came to, I saw faint blue walls surrounding me while an IV pump and pole sat next to my bed."Evelyn!"
