ELI'S POV The hearing ended just the way Selena Hales and her golden son wanted. He was free from any kind of bully accusation (he had never bullied me anyway so, it kinda of fair.) I had left the moment the so called punishment had been given to him and I could hear dad calling after me the moment I stepped out. I hurried out of the hallway and immediately headed for the stairs but I could still hear his voice calling after me as he followed hurriedly behind me. I had no idea what he wanted to say to me but I knew that whatever it was I wasn't going to love it. I hated the fact that this all happened and any more discussion about everything that had just happened in there would definitely piss me off. I wanted to avoid him and go back to my room, close the doors and fucking curse and scream out to let out my anger. It would definitely not end well if I had to explode with emotions right in front of dad. “Eli, I ask you to stop this instant!” He yelled furiously, as he

SEBASTIAN'S POV I watched through the window, my gaze fixed on the city's lively nightlife. Lights blinked and flickered as cars sped by, passing every streetlamp. What should have been a beautiful sight only made my chest feel heavier, the weight of sadness pressing down on me. My eyes stung with unshed tears. My mind swirled with thoughts—no, not just thoughts, but a storm of them. Emotions collided in my chest, all crashing into each other like waves in a storm. Anger. Pain. Sadness. Sorrow. Heartache. All at once. Why did my mother treat her only son as though I were nothing more than a burden? As if I were an object—a machine without feelings? I knew that was her way; she had always been like this. It wasn’t surprising. It wasn’t supposed to hurt this much. But it did. Why did it break me so deeply? I knew she had been like this since I was six years old. Even then, I understood the cruel truth—my mom didn't care about me. She never did. It wasn't always like this, thoug

SEBASTIAN'S POV I stood there in front of Eli’s door, my heart pounding in my chest. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. No idea what had possessed me to act like that, to let my anger get the better of me. It wasn’t like me to lose control—not like that. The blow I landed on him had felt… different. Like it wasn’t me doing it. It was like some other version of myself, one who couldn’t hold in his frustration any longer. But what good did it do me? What did I accomplish by hitting him? I couldn’t look at him, couldn’t see the way his eyes had softened for just a second. That brief flash of vulnerability he had shown me. I didn’t want to see it. I didn’t want to acknowledge it. It made me feel like shit. Like I was somehow wrong for being angry, for hating him. I took a step back from the door, my mind clouded with the chaos I had just created. I had come here with the intention to scream at him, to make him understand what he had done. But instead, I had ended up in this t

ELI'S POV I had no idea why I went closer to him, why I cared to know if that was truly a sob or maybe I was mistaken. I shouldn't be in there in the first place, I should be fucking laying on my bed and sleeping peacefully too. But I moved closer to him as I bent, squatting next to him… our faces were inches apart. His face was flush red and winkled with a deep frown, his lips slightly apart and his eyes were shut tightly. He was sleeping, I could confirm it.. but why was these tears flowing down his eyes? Like a child badly hurt he sobbed softly and the sight made my chest tightened in pain. Slowly my hand reached for his face - I knew I shouldn't but I could not even stop my self from doing anything. My finger trailing his face as I wiped the tears from his face. I was so lost in thought that I had no idea his eyes were fluttering open until they locked with mine. Dazed, unfocused and surprised as an hint of recognition flashed through his eyes as he saw me. He reach

SEBASTIAN'S POV Another drink was definitely going to drive me crazy but I didn't care, I poured myself just another glass of whiskey and gulped it down all at once. I didn't care about the burning sensation in my throat all I cared about was this ache that just would not stop. Fuck! I had been drinking snice I stepped into this house. I left the doom, I left Eli. He was still fast asleep when I left, although I didn't dare check if he was asleep not after what had happened last night. I would not dare look at him in the eyes but why the ache do I feel this heaviness in my chest? Why do I feel the pain much worst than I did before. I just could not keep my mind sane, I could not stop thinking about him. He was suppose to be past tense once I left that doom but he was the only one in mind. Why the fuck was that happening? How much has that guy been in charge of my mind? How did I get this point? I just wanted one drink to calm my nerves and probably make me feel less ache
