Damian knelt down in front of me.“I can take you back.” He spoke.“No, I need to do this, but I need a minute.”He nodded and went back behind the wheelchair. I nodded when I was ready, and Damian wheeled me over to the table. “We’ll give you as much time as you need.” The nurses said as they left us alone.On the table in front of us was our baby boy. He was tiny, around the size of an avocado. He was so tiny, it was strange. My emotions held and froze in me for a moment. “I’m sorry that I couldn’t protect you, peanut.” Tears silently fell.Damian appeared at my side and placed his hands flat on the table with his head bowed. Tears hit the table, drip, drip, and drip. I reached out and placed my hand on his arm. In that moment I saw Damian as broken as I was. He tensed for a moment before sinking to his knees and placing his head in my lap. I wrapped my fingers into his hair and stroked his head. I then realised that everything with selling the company and planning the future
