Mr. Henry. He was the only one who knew about her past and who must have told Javier about her. Her heart sank. Jerome would also be informed. Goosebumps spiralled from her arms to her back. It felt like invisible eyes were watching over her. Instantly, she began to fret. She folded her fingers tightly and wrapped her hands around her body. She curled over.“Are you okay, ma?" The cab rider asked while trying to catch a view of her through the rear mirror. Kensington nodded, “I will drop at the next stop," She said, feeling a large lump in her throat. They got to the next stop. Kensington paid her fare and continued on her way down to the house. The few people she met on her way casted glances at her in a way that made her nervous. She folded her hands over her chest and walked stealthily to the house. She knocked on the door. Laura opened up and she walked in.“What is it, Kenzie?" Laura inquired with curiosity impinged in her tone. Kensington pulled up a smile even th

Looking around carefully, she picked her pace and walked out of the restaurant. It was quite dark outside. She hailed a cab and was about to get in when she noticed a man trudging towards her. His eyes were hidden behind the dark spectacles he wore but she could sense his viciousity. She hurried and got into the cab. The man stretched quickly and tried to grab the door but the cab driver started the engine and throttled the car down the road. Her heart pounded erratically and audibly. She held her breath and looked behind to see the man gritting in annoyance. She heaved in relief and hugged herself firmly. She got to her home in time to meet Alejandro at the door again. “Kenzie?" He called her and ran to her. He embraced her warmly. She could hear the soft sound of his heart beating against his chest. He exhaled and stroked her hair after disengaging from the embrace, " Kenzie, Have I offended you?” He asked with a clear tone that made her brows arch. Why was he asking this? D

The entire house has been quiet as though a bucket of ice water had been poured over it. Kensington sat on the couch directly opposite the dining room where Laura sat eating absentmindedly. It felt as though she could read her thoughts. Laura has been in a state of shock since she came across the video of Kensington displaying ridiculous sexual acrobats. Laura just stared into space. Kensington was scared. So many things ran through her head. She wondered if Laura would throw her out of her house. It seemed like everyone in Massachusetts had a problem with porn actors, they don't seem to accept them in their society. Her last resort would be to move to another city, very far away from Massachusetts and Washington as a whole.“Laura, Are you going to talk or keep staring?" Kensington decided to break the ice. Laura turned her head to her direction. Her eyes bored into her.“It was you in the video right?" Laura asked.“Yes.." Kensington bit her lower lip and averted her gaze w

Her knees went wobbly. She managed to pull herself into an empty space. Her heart was beating quickly. Alejandro doesn't deserve her. She wasn't worth his love, time and affection. She was as good as trash. She splashed water over her face. Tears spurred out of her eyes. Staring at herself in the mirror, she saw a broken form with eyes drooping. She took deep breaths multiple times. When she felt she was ready to step out, she returned to meet Alejandro. She noticed his smile was gone..“Hey, I'm sorry I took a long time," she flashed an apologetic beam. He flicked his hand, “It's fine." They finished up their food. They walked down to the garage. Alejandro opened the car's door while she entered. He entered as well and drove out of the eatery. He stopped a few meters away from her home. Kensington noticed a drop in his mood.“Alejandro, Is everything fine? Is there a problem?" She asked with a firm voice, a part of her fretted because she felt he must have found out her se

“I love him, Laura. So stop speaking ill of him,”Kensington warned. "Excuse me,” She turned to her room. She slammed the door shut and sat on the bed fuming with anger. **** Alejandro was surprised to meet his uncle in his house. "Why are you here?” Alejandro stripped off his jacket, he flung it on the couch and entered the kitchen. "Why weren't you at work?” Javier returned, tapping his fingers gently on the couch. Alejandro chuckled, " Did you think it was an empty threat?” "Threat? Oh, you thought I took that as a threat." “Then why are you here?" Alejandro returned the question. Javier broke into a chuckle. “Kids grow quickly. Alejandro, I took you in when you fled from your mother. You don't have the right to question my actions?" “If your actions seem to affect the ones dear to my heart, then I think I have the right to question you." Javier stared intensely at the back of Javier's head. He was returning witty answers. Alejandro has been a reliable hand
