POV: LUNANova caught Luna's arm before she reached the exit."Wait. Think about this.""I am thinking. Miguel needs help. I'm going.""You don't know that for sure. The vision could mean anything. Dream-links aren't always literal.""His face was bloody, Nova. He said 'help me.' That's pretty literal."Ryder appeared from around the corner. Like he'd been waiting. "Going somewhere, Eclipse?""I need to check on someone. In the human world.""Your human boyfriend?"Luna's jaw tightened. "Yes.""Can't you just call him?"The suggestion was so obvious Luna felt stupid for not thinking of it first. She pulled out her phone. Dialed Miguel's number with shaking hands. It rang. Once. Twice. Three times.Voicemail.Luna hung up. Tried again.Same result."He's not answering.""Maybe he's in class," Nova suggested. "Or his phone died. Or a dozen other normal reasons.""Or maybe he's hurt. Or worse.""Luna." Ryder's voice was firm but not unkind. "You can't run into the human world every time y

POV: LUNALuna couldn't focus in class. Professor Cael droned on about magical theory. Something about energy channels and proper meditation techniques. All Luna could think about was Darius's threat. And Miguel. And those damn texts."Miss Eclipse."Luna's head snapped up. "Yes?""I asked you to identify the primary chakra point for transformation magic.""Solar plexus."Cael's eyebrow raised. "Correct. Though I'd appreciate your attention during the explanation of why.""Sorry."The rest of class crawled by. When it finally ended, Nova caught up with her in the hall."You okay? You look like death.""Didn't sleep.""Still thinking about Miguel?""And Darius. And everything else.""You need a distraction. Something to clear your head."Luna didn't want a distraction. She wanted answers. But Nova was right. She was spiraling."What kind of distraction?""Forest exercise this afternoon. Thorne is having us track a rogue creature. Practical application stuff. Gets you out of your head."

POV: LUNAThe creature retreated at dawn. Not because it was defeated. Because it chose to. Like it had made its point. Tested the defenses. Found them wanting.Luna watched from the library window as the massive shadow melted back into the forest. The rogue army following. Coordinated. Disciplined.Unnatural.Faculty secured the wards. Reinforced weak points. Pretended everything was under control. But Luna saw Professor Thorne's face. The worry lines. The way his hand shook slightly when he thought no one was looking. They weren't ready for another attack. And everyone knew it.Classes were cancelled. Students confined to dorms. Emergency protocols in effect. At noon, Luna's phone buzzed. Text from an unknown number."Abandoned classroom. Third floor west wing. One hour. Come alone. Ryder."She showed Nova."That's not suspicious at all.""It's from Ryder.""You don't know that. Could be a trap.""Could be important."Nova sighed. "Fine. But I'm coming with you.""It says come alone.

POV: LUNA"Who are you?" Luna's voice came out steadier than she felt. The woman tilted her head. Silver eyes gleaming with amusement. "Someone who understands what you carry. That mark. That burden.""How do you know about my mark?""I know many things, little Eclipse. Including what hunts you. And why."Luna's heart hammered. "The creature. You know what it is.""I know what it wants. What it's always wanted. The question is, do you?""Then tell me."The woman smiled. Sad. Ancient. "Not yet. You're not ready for that truth. But you will be. Soon."She stepped backward. Her form rippling like water. "When the time comes, remember this. Your mark is not a curse. It's a key. And every key opens something that was meant to stay locked.""Wait. I don't understand.""You will. When the moon is full and the shadow rises. Trust your instincts, Luna Eclipse. Even when they lead you into darkness."The woman dissolved. Like smoke. Like she'd never been there at all.Luna stood alone in the cle

POV: LUNALuna couldn't focus in class the next day. Professor Cael was explaining something about energy channeling. All Luna heard was noise. Her mind kept circling back to the dream. To Miguel's warnings. To that howl outside her window. She needed answers. Real ones. Not cryptic prophecies from mysterious women or half-remembered legends. After class, she caught up with Nova and Marcus. "Library. Now. We need to research dream-links."Nova looked worried. "You're really freaked out about this.""Wouldn't you be? Miguel warned me about the full moon. Then we hear that howl. Something's happening and I don't understand what."Marcus nodded. "I can help. My pack has some old texts about supernatural bonds. Dream-links are rare but documented."They claimed a table in the back corner of the library. Away from other students. Away from prying eyes.Marcus pulled books from the history section. Thick volumes with cracked spines and yellowed pages. Luna grabbed anything mentioning dreams,
