The gala event where wealthy sponsors and investors were gathering, Cronous Fauler was not one to entertain guests yet he needed to be there. His face slightly frowned, his gaze irritated by the sight of the clothes he was wearing. A blue suit that perfectly disgusts him. “What kind of bullshit event bans black clothing?” he said with disdain.  Sebastian, who was standing behind him, chuckled lightly. “You will be late for the event, people are already waiting,” he recalled and Cronous rolled his eyes.  He scanned his face, checking if all the bruises were gone. “Do you think Zaria would grow tired of this face?” he suddenly asked while eyeing his striking features. Sebastian looked at him with his mouth agape but cleared his throat.  

The lights inside the mansion were dim and there was a silence that was deafening. Cronous and Luca arrived in a haste. Everyone watched as he walked out of the event, and Luca’s phone was buzzing with calls and emails because of his boss’ sudden disappearance. Troubled, he was left in the living room of the mansion. “Please rest assured Mr. Fauler will not be pulling out his sponsorships. There was merely a… personal matter he needed to tend to,” he said over the phone.
