(Ian’s POV)By the time I reached Arcadia, my friends were already there, waiting near the rooftop gaming zone, laughing over something silly. The second they spotted me, a chorus of cheers erupted.“Ian, finally!”“Took you long enough, dude!”“Okay, okay, I’m late but I brought the charm, so you’re welcome” I raised my hands in mock surrender. They pulled me into their chaotic energy, slinging arms over my shoulder, teasing me about my married life, and challenging me in games like they always did. For a while, I was fully swept into their world, racing cars on the simulators, laughing at inside jokes, shouting across the bowling alley, guzzling mocktails and cola.
