PAIGE’S POV Slowly I opened my eyes, rolling my numb body as I turned, blinking through the mellow light that guided me back into a state of consciousness.Distantly, I felt pain in my back and stomach, pressing in as more consciousness dawned on me. PAIGE’S POV Immediately I felt Azriel slip out of the bed and walk out of the room, I figured he had something important to do from the way he hurried out. Since I couldn’t go back to sleep, I decided to shake off the stiffness in my body and also organise my things.I had overheard Azriel and the doctor talking earlier about my discharge so I needed to be ready when he returned. I seriously couldn’t wait to leave the hospital and return home. AZRIEL’S POVI tapped my fingers anxiously against the table as I watched the council members fly in hurriedly.I didn't want to be there, but the meeting was important. Paige was not here because I didn't want anything that would upset her, not after she broke down yesterday. She was slowly getting better.
