I turned to Matthew, “She's not here.” “The proceedings start in five minutes,” Matthew said, “I am sure she will show up.” I continued to look at the aisle but she still did not show up. However, three minutes later, Daphne arrived in the courtroom, but when I looked behind her, there was no Salma trailing behind her. “She did not come,” I said to Matthew who now had a frown on his face. “Her lawyer is here,” he said. “Can she do that? Skip court and just let her lawyer come?” I asked, getting anxious.
