Emory has on a trench coat with a bag of our dinner in one hand, but the way her other hand clutches at the neckline telegraphs just how little she must be wearing under it. She might as well be shouting “I’m naked!” everywhere she goes. No wonder my security sounded so amused when they called up to Anna and I. Emory--I should have known I couldn’t float outside of reality for long. Logan, of course, now has to fire some of his security team since one of them snuck pictures of me holding my coat closed to cover my lack of clothing. They got another picture of me coming out, obviously just fucked and giving Logan heart eyes on our way out the door. Emory--I’ve put this off for as long as I possibly can. I’m down to my last three pairs of panties. I’ve asked Logan to stop ripping my underwear off, but he knows how hot it gets me when we’re in the moment. He keeps telling me that he’d buy me a new set for every time if he had to, but I just can’t imagine the waste of buying so much underwear. His other suggestion was that I stop wearing any at all, which seems more for him than for me. That won’t work for me, and no way am I having some delivered– the wolves on security have started looking through our mail now that we get “fan mail” as a result of all the news coverage. I’m learning to be more comfortable in my skin, but I doubt I’ll ever be okay with the shifters at the gates seeing my underwear. Logan wouldn’t like it, either, if he really thought about it.  

I don’t think I’ve ever been angrier than I am right now. It’s one thing to have Bryan hurling insults at his sister– she’s put up with him her whole life and knows how to handle him. It’s another thing for Cora to betray her, helpfully removing herself as a negative influence in Emory’s life once and for all. It’s a new thing altogether for someone to make my mate feel unsafe in public. That man had the nerve to make my mate feel afraid.
