All Chapters of Dangerous Cravings: Sinfully Tangled With My Stepbrother : Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

The wedding dragged to an end and I heaved out in relief. Dragging my already tired limbs out of the hall, I dialed my best friend’s digits via video call.“Yo, Ez.” Erik’s caramel skin glowed as his face appeared on the screen. “Happy married life to you.”The heck?“My mom got married, not me.” I said as-a-matter-of-factly, rolling my eyes.“Well, you're literally made from your mom, so that means this marriage is a part of you.”I paused for a slight second and burst into laughter, clutching my belly tight.“Man, your reasoning scares me sometimes.”He chuckled and went silent for a split second.“So…. what do you want to do?” He asked, munching from a bag of chips on his bed.“I don't know, Erik. I just got to know I've got an overly sophisticated stepsister, an overly friendly one and an ‘I don't know’ stepbrother.”Erik grinned at me mischievously, “The recluse Lucian Banks? Lucky you! You’ll get to see him daily.”Well, Erik was an information gatherer. There was virtually no o

Days moved faster than I thought and soon, it was weekend. I sat on my reading table, my fingers resting on the cursor of my laptop.I can't believe I've spent one week in a strange house. I was already bored to death.A thought nudged at the back of my mind and I shook it off frantically.Slowly, my hands moved to the cursor and I tapped on the browser icon, cursing myself as I typed a name on the Google search engine.Lucian Banks, potential heir of the Banks Legacy and CEO of Paragon Gaming.Paragon Gaming was formerly known as Enamor Gaming. The CEO of Enamor resigned and another smaller company acquired them and changed the name to Paragon which within six years grew to become the largest gaming company in Australia with its headquarters here in Melbourne. Their games were top-notch and madly loved by people. Especially the simulation game they made—Syntaxe—it made people crazy.“Geez!” I exclaimed. “Mr annoying is Paragon’s CEO? Jesus is Lord!”I quickly brought out my phone and

I froze on the spot, barely saying a word.I could feel his breath on my cheeks and I quickly bit my lips in tension.“You’re not saying anything, kiddo.” he asked, straightening himself to look at me. “Cat got your tongue?”I trembled, my palms shaking beside me as I raised my head to his height.Gawd, I hate this. I freaking hate this.He chuckled lightly and moved backwards, turning on his heels and walking out of the door. I immediately released the breath I didn't realize I was holding.I stood there for a full five seconds after he left.Five very long seconds. My heart was pounding like I had just run a marathon and my lungs felt tight, like the air in the kitchen had suddenly become too thick to breathe.“What the hell was that?” I whispered to myself.Lucian Banks had just leaned close enough for me to feel his breath against my ear and then walked away like nothing happened. Like he hadn’t just short-circuited my brain.I dragged a shaky hand through my hair. This man was ins

Darkness greeted me from all sides. The grand foyer of the Banks villa was usually lit like a five-star hotel, but tonight the lights were dim, casting long shadows across the marble floor. For a moment I just stood there, confused, then a voice came from the living room.“You’re late.”My heart jumped straight into my throat. Lucian. He was sitting on the couch in the dark like he had been there for hours, one arm resting lazily along the backrest, his tall frame barely illuminated by the faint light spilling in from the corridor. He had been watching and waiting.I swallowed hard.“What are you doing sitting in the dark like a horror movie villain?” I muttered.Lucian didn’t move. His gray eyes flicked toward the clock behind me.“Ten forty-three.”I frowned. “And?”“You broke curfew.”Of course I knew I did.I rolled my eyes and started walking toward the staircase.“Relax, Mr. Warden. The world didn’t end because I came home forty minutes late.”“Stop.”The single word froze me in

The room went still. Not gradually, instantly. The music was still blasting from the speakers, bodies were still moving across the dance floor, glasses still clinked, but the space around us suddenly felt different — because Lucian Banks had just entered the room. The three idiots in front of me turned slowly.Lucian didn’t even look at them at first. His eyes were on me. Cold, sharp and calculating. His gaze moved across my face, stopping briefly on my split lip before traveling down to the bruise forming on my jaw.Something dangerous flickered in his eyes. Then he finally looked at the guys blocking my way.“Move.” The word was quiet but it landed like a command. The blond guy laughed nervously. “Who the hell are you supposed to—”Lucian stepped closer. Tall, calm and immovable. And suddenly, the blond guy didn’t look so confident anymore.“You hit him,” Lucian said.It wasn’t a question. The guy scoffed, trying to recover some dignity. “Yeah. So what?”Lucian tilted his head slight
