Charles. Two weeks later. I emptied the second bottle of alcohol till I wasn't myself. Darcie left me. She left me like that, to suffer, live in regrets and do stupid things. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I tried so many fucking times. But I still find myself going back to the same fucking loop. My head cocked backwards as I sat on my chair. I barely left my room, the maids got me my food as I told them. I just stared out of the window, thinking about Darcie. Her smile, the way she walks, eats, studies, every little thing she does occupies my mind all the time. “You little fool.” I cursed and my brows furrowed. I rubbed my temples in frustration and slurred from the chair, kicked it away and fell on the bed. I needed a fucking distraction. That's all. Right now, I'm too tired to do anything so I'll just stay with the pain in my chest. I slept and woke up for a while. Just on my bed. Devoid of emotions. Mom and Dad were tired of me. I refused to have family dinner with them.

Charles.I jerked the wheel and kicked the engine. The car grunted as I threw it into reverse and the car glided forward. My hands gripped around the steering hard. I still feel incomplete, inhuman. Like a part of me was totally destroyed. Can't believe I'm going back to that god-damned house because her memories lay there. Back to that house to remember her smile, the couch she laid, the mug she always used. It kept on stirring different emotions in me. I missed Darcie dangerously. I thought I hated her for what she did but I still loved her. I still wanted her close. I missed her warmth, her body, her voice, her complaints. Everything. My fingers clamped around my temples and I bit my lips before making a U-turn. Making it to the club because I need some time alone. I could get privacy in my room but I wanted an environment where no one knew me. The neon sign for Rover club flickers up ahead. Sloane and I used to come here to drink and dance when we were still dating. Maybe I'd ge

CharlesSome days later. Sloane was celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Of course, she'd want a freaking huge extravagant party. I spent three days at her place while she's been planning for it—with my money—and her Dad's. For the past seven days since Arthur took me home, I've been spending a lot of time with her. We were having sex numerous times daily. Anything to forget about Darcie. I was slowly getting better. I didn't drink or smoke as before. Sloane made sure of it. She even made me stay for dinner with her family, go out with her, she always wanted me close, showing off that she had a handsome boyfriend. I couldn't say no. I felt like a robot under control. I got her whatever she wanted. Every materialistic thing I was doing for her was what I'd always wanted to do for Darcie but unfortunately, Darcie isn't the one for me. There could be some other guy. “Hey, I wanna go pick up my shoes from my grandma. She bought it as a birthday gift from Dubai. That makes it two shoes.

Charles' I woke up with a heavy guilt. The room was silent except for the sound of the kitten meowing. I felt her warmth next to me. The white duvet covered our naked bodies and her head rested on my chest. Her dark hair spread through. I stared at the ceiling for seconds. Just staring at white coffered panels with soft gold trims. Genevieve's chest kept on rising and falling steadily. So I did it with her. I had sex. I left my girlfriend's house to her best friend’s to sleep with her. Gosh. I rubbed my forehead in frustration. I cheated. My phone. I turned my head sideways and my phone laid on the far side of the bed. I stretched my hands and grabbed it. Forty seven missed calls from Sloane. Then when I opened the WhatsApp app, she's already asking about my whereabouts. I checked the time and my eyes widened. It's 8: 00pm. Gosh, I shouldn't have done this. Even though I didn't love Sloane. I shouldn't have. Genevieve probably did this on purpose. She invited me here with the intent

Charles' I'm driving fast and furious. I don't mind the amount of speed that I traveled with. The city blurred too fast like lightning. I disobeyed all trafficking rules without stopping for any. I'm lucky I didn't kill those children that were about to cross. My foot remains pressed to the floor, toes curled like it would tear through my sneakers. I keep on checking the mirrors, if the cops were behind and would stop me for speeding. Let them try and stop me, I'd run them over with my tyres. Darcie never did anything wrong. She was innocent all these while and scared. To what extent did Sloane and Genevieve made her terrified that she couldn't open up to me? She could have cried to me. I would have done something. I could. I can and I will. Now, Darcie's gone. All because of them. And Sloane, the mastermind behind the whole thing.“Ahhh! Fuck it!” I slammed my fists on the wheel, my jaw clenched and I bit my tongue so hard that I tasted blood. I gripped the steering so tight that m
