All Chapters of My Enemy [BL]: Chapter 471 - Chapter 480

ELLISMorning crept in way too softly for the kind of chaos I was waking up to.For a blissful instant, I lingered in that dreamy space between sleep and being fully awake, feeling a warmth that had once felt so rare once upon a time. The gentle rise and fall beneath my cheek created a surprisingly calming rhythm, and the arm around my waist was heavy enough to pin all my worries outside my dreams, where they belonged, at least for now.I let out a soft sigh and snuggled in a bit closer before my brain finally kicked in....Wait a damn minute.Suddenly, my eyes flew open. The first thing that came into view was soft gray fabric just inches from my face. The next realization hit me: I wasn’t on a pillow at all.I was on Julian.Completely. My cheek was resting on his chest, one of his arms was wrapped loosely around my waist like he’d meant to hold me like that, and somehow, during the night, our legs got so hopelessly tangled that I couldn’t tell which limb belonged to who.Julian...

ELLISI squeezed my eyes shut. "..."Maybe if I closed them...if I didn’t acknowledge his presence, he’ll go away.I know hat was a dumb thing to think, but I feared I had no other options left, okay?!Julian’s voice echoed in the cramped room, low and teasing, that familiar amusement twisting my stomach in knots. "You’re making this a habit."His arms crossed over his chest, one ankle casually crossed over the other like he was posing for a magazine he wasn’t invited to. The smirk on his face told me he was enjoying this way more than he had any right to."Come on, say something," he teased. "Cat got your tongue?""I...uh" My mind went completely blank. "I was—"Come on, Ellis. Think! My eyes frantically scanned the storeroom until they landed on a rag and a cardboard box on the shelf next to me. Perfect, a lifeline!I snatched it up so quickly that I nearly dropped it on my foot.I started wiping at an invisible spot, my hands moving way too fast to seem casual."I’m just... organiz

ELLISIt’s funny, really. The moment I decided to act normal, all sense of what normal was flew right out the window. Walking turned into this whole calculated process.Standing still felt downright suspicious. Even breathing became something that I started overthinking, and let’s be real...no one should have to think that hard about it.This realization nagged at me for days, like a shadow that just wouldn’t quit judging me.On the surface, life had slipped back into a comfortable routine with Julian, one we never really talked about. Most mornings, we’d wake up together, usually all tangled up under the same blanket after I somehow migrated to his side of the bed. We’d rush to our classes when our schedules matched up, bicker about who should do the dishes, and whip up dinner in our big ass kitchen, which was still fancier than any place I’d lived before. Evenings were spent sprawled across the couch, watching TV while mostly just exchanging sarcastic comments about whatever show wa

ELLISThe cafeteria buzzed with its usual chaos, students packed around tables, trays banging against countertops, and conversations mixing into a loud hum that was almost indistinguishable. It wasn’t exactly a tranquil scene, but after the craziness my life had turned into over the last few weeks, I found something oddly comforting about the normality of it all... the lively chaos of college life seemingly untouched by the worries that had kept me up at night.I spotted Lucas right away. He was waving both arms like he was trying to direct traffic rather than just trying to get my attention from across the room."Ellis!" he shouted, loud enough to turn a few heads. "Your favorite person is over here!"I sighed, already regretting this lunch date."You know," I said, sliding into the seat opposite him, "normal people just text."Lucas just grinned, completely unrepentant. "And miss the chance to embarrass you in public? Not a chance. Where’s the fun in being subtle?"He chuckled, slid

ELLISWe hung around after lunch for another half hour, slipping back into easier conversation. Lucas shared a story about a professor accidentally projecting his grocery list instead of a lecture slide, and I laughed so hard my sides hurt.He went off about his stepdad’s obsession with motivational podcasts, claiming he woke up every morning to someone yelling, "Rise and grind!" through a speaker positioned next to their shared wall."I swear," Lucas groaned, running a hand down his face. "If I hear one more millionaire tell me I need to wake up at four in the morning, I’m committing a crime."I giggled into my drink. "What kind of crime?""I don’t know." He shrugged. "Probably theft.""What are you stealing?""His alarm clock, out of his hands, mid-sentence about gratitude journaling."By the time we finally left the cafeteria, the weight I felt inside hadn’t disappeared. But it felt a bit lighter now, the conversation having loosened something that had been uncomfortably tight in m
