The road was indeed filled with people, but it seemed like I was the only one walking on a lonely road. I part of me kept telling me to go back and endure his shits just so I could stay in a place I could at least call home, but the strong part of me gat me moving.Just then my phone buzzed. I looked at the caller id just to see my aunt's name. She was definitely the last person I would want to speak to right now. She kept calling and calling till I finally picked it. " Why the hell were you ignoring my calls Ariana." She yelled from the other end of the phone. I didn't want to speak, I didn't want her finding out about my divorce because I knew exactly what she would say. " Speak up girl !! Why !!." " Aunty I... I'm on my way coming back to your house." " And you expect me to accept you huh !?. I wanted to purchase a few things from my phone this night and access was denied. I called your husband to complain about this, only to find out what the hell you did Ariana!!. How could

ARIANAMolly didn’t say a word as she grabbed her car keys. Not one word.Everything still sounded like a jock to me, for some reason I kept wishing my aunty was playing some of her dirty tricks just to drag my attention. I followed her out of the apartment, my legs feeling weak, and my head spinning with my cousin’s voice still echoing in my ears.Cancer.The word felt unreal. Like something that only happened to other families. Other people. Not us.Molly unlocked the car and got in. I stood there for a second, staring at the passenger seat like it might swallow me whole or something. “Anna,” she said softly. “Get in.”I did.The engine started, and the car pulled out of the compound. For the first five minutes, neither of us spoke.I stared out the window, my hands folded together on my lap. My nails dug into my skin, but I didn’t feel the pain.“She didn’t tell me,” I whispered finally.Molly sighed. “She wouldn’t. Your aunty is strong to a fault.”“I was just with her two weeks

RAYMOND I stared at the email again. Stone Crest Properties. Collaboration accepted. A smile appeared from no where as I bit my bottom lips. Finally. After months of tension. After sleepless nights. After several rejections and worrying that this proposal would be rejected. They accepted it. I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. “This is it,” I muttered to myself. “This is the breakthrough.” The door behind me opened softly. “Raymond?” Joyce’s voice came gently. I turned around immediately. She stood there in a fitted office dress, holding a file against her chest. Her expression was curious. “You look… happy,” she said slowly. I stood up so fast my chair rolled back slightly. “They accepted it,” I said. She blinked. “Accepted what?” “Stone Crest. The collaboration.” Her lips parted. “Are you serious?” she asked. I walked to her in two quick steps and pulled her into a tight hug. “Yes,” I said into her hair. “We did it.” She stiffened for

ARIANA He dragged me on the cuffs till we reached a room…. This… I only saw such rooms on videos or dark romance movies… it has always been my fantasy to be in a room like this, but I only imagined being in such room with Raymond and not a stranger I flashed married. Trevor’s eyes met mine immediately, the red lights of the room made him look even more dangerous than I imagined. Just then he dragged me, locking the other part of the handcuffs on the iron bed frame, leaving me alone in the room to admire the room and anticipate whatever was about to happen. I scanned the room, it was complete… it had all equipments mafia lords use when punishing a lady in a movie… Pleasurable punishment…. Now I understood what he meant. Just then my eyes met a pole… and my mind drifted to him adding stripping to his contract. Has he always been like this?. Am I the first woman he has done this with?.No!!! There’s definitely no way I could be the first… how could he have designed his room this

RAYMONDNEXT DAY I adjusted my suit in the car mirror. “This is big,” I muttered to myself. Joyce sat beside me, unusually quiet. She had dressed elegantly. Confident and Professional. “You ready?” I asked her. She forced a smile. “Of course.”The ride to Trevor’s mansion was quiet. Joyce was literally a chatterbox, but today… “ What’s wrong.” I asked, my eyes still on the road. “ Nothing really…. Just feeling uncomfortable. My instincts don’t lie… if feel like something may go wrong to…” “ Don’t ruin my day with such words Joyce!!. We’ll surely get this contract.” I said holding the steering tightly. I looked at the mansion gates as they slowly opened. Trevor’s mansion was massive. Money screamed from every corner. “This man must be ruthless,” I said under my breath. Joyce swallowed slightly. “Let’s just focus on the deal.” We stepped out of the car. A staff member led us inside. The living room was wide and beautifully arranged. Everything looked expensive. And
