Augustine's POV After the party that night, Diana seemed to have retreated into her shell. I didn't know what to make of the dream I had but I kept a close watch on Diana and tried not to make her feel pressured in any way.Since the last time she treated us, my episode hasn't recurred. I wasn't sure we were completely cured but there has been a great improvement. I wanted her around and if staying away from her till she can bring herself to decide which one if us she preferred, then I was going to do that gladly.I don't know why I suddenly had the urge to go to the Clinic where Diana seemed to be spending most of her time these days. When I had spoke to her previously about it, she had replied, "I have to be creatively occupied. I feel bored staying home and not contributing to my keep or to the Pack in any way. This is my little way of saying thank you to the Pack for taking me in".After that, I hadn't bothered to disagree her anymore and she was doing a great job at the clinic t

Meanwhile, in the room next door, Elder Sam was trying to convince Alpha Sebastian to give Fiona a chance."I cannot accept her, Elder Sam", Alpha Sebastian said. "I cannot have a Luna I don't want. I belong to someone else"."And that someone is Miss Sinclair, I presume?" the Elder proved, knowing what the answer was.Alpha Sebastian kept quiet. But as Elder Sam was about speaking, he spoke first. "And don't go lecturing me about her background and past. Those are things she could be er control just like it was an accident of birth that Fiona and not her is the Lycan king's daughter"."That may be so, but as Alpha, there are sacrifices you must make for the good and progress of your pack and there are people we dare not piss off", the Elder cautioned. "And concerning who your heart and body belong to, you belong to yourself and can decide to give your heart to anyone you so desire"."Exactly", Alpha Sebastian replied, shrugging. "And I have already chosen the person most qualified t

Augustine decided then that he had shown me around enough. I knew it was because of her but that was okay, I knew what I had to do next. I allowed them to walk ahead of me as I brought out the bike in my bag and drank part of it according to the instruction of the witch who had given it to me.My mind went back to the day Elder Sam's message had arrived."I thought he was no longer interested in the betrothal", father had said. I knew he felt I was a disappointment to him because of my lasciviousness but it didn't matter. There was nothing he could do about it. He couldn't disinherit me since I was his only surviving heir."What use is having all that money and privilege if I cannot have a little fun?" I had once asked and he had shook his head in exasperation. My mother indulged me, perhaps because I was now her only child and she didn't want me to feel unloved or have any reason to leave them."What betrothal are we talking about?" I asked."When you and your sister was born, the fi

Augustine's POV As I led Fiona to the guest room, my mind was in chaos. I had seen the hurt in Diana's face, the disbelief and had known that she had caught feelings for Sebastian. She had tried to smile it all off as though it meant nothing to her it that she couldn't care less but I knew better. I had wanted to go comfort her, tell her I would always be with her and that she was not alone but had me. But she wanted to be alone and I had to respect her wishes.Sebastian was not much better. I could tell that he had been bemused at the turn of events. He had looked crushed when I and Fiona had suggested that he chose Fiona's and leave Diana to me. But I had to harden my heart. He and I had never been very close since childhood and I wondered why I was feeling sorry for him now. No. I must have Diana to myself."She is unique", I muttered to myself. "What did you say?" Fiona asked straining her ears as she looked at me."Oh, nothing", I said. I had not meant o speak my thoughts aloud

Alpha Sebastian's POV I am confused. I love Diana, I have known that fir some time now but she does not feel the same way that I do. Else, why would she not accept me, acknowledge our mate bond and allow me make her my Luna? She keeps saying that she didn't want to get into another relationship just yet but what if the real reason is because she is still in love with Jayden? She may have beaten him to a pulp at the hotel but what if it was her way of teaching him a lesson but would have made it up to him by sleeping with him or at least reconciling with him if I and Augustine hadn't intervened? Yes, it could be. Oh, cramp! Could we have happened into a lovers quarrel and mistaken it for what it was not? Would she have allowed him take her like she did me if I had not been around to save her? These thoughts tortured me. I wanted her desperately but she doesn't want me except when she wants me to be her sex tool. It seems . And now, I have another complication to deal with. O
