All Chapters of Love, Obsession, Torture: Chapter 131 - Chapter 140

JACK “Robin!” I bellowed, running through each and every room, my anxious voice roaring the love of my life’s name, the decibel level higher than I anticipated, my heart in my throat as I made the last trip twice, to her room. A blue dress lay on her bed, accompanied by her bag. She was preparing for our date. I growled, slouching against the bedroom wall, defeated, and breathing loudly before roaring one last fucking time. I was going to kill that motherfucker when I saw him. Whimpering, I thought about all the ways I had failed Robin, not acting fast enough to ensure her security. Wiping Brandon off wouldn’t be a difficult task, but I didn’t want to add to the list of things Robin should be concerned over. At least I knew it would take forever for her to forgive me if I killed him, but now… now I felt like choking him until life slipped away from his body. I dragged my defeated body down the stairs, catching Robin’s phone sprayed into pieces, scattered all over the floor. I couldn’

JACK Another hollow search by the police, a fucking fruitless pursuit by Miller’s team and a couple of tequila shots—I’d hit a fucking wall. Today marked four days, four fucking days and I still got shit to show for the fervent search. Where the fuck are you Robin? Against all odds, Millicent had been able to resist countless torture strategies used to extract information about his twin’s whereabouts. Millicent’s determination to seeing me suffer was greater than any physical torture she’d ever experience. She derived her strength from it, and now more than ever, like it or not… she was my only hope. My only likely ticket to saving Robin’s life and my babies. If torture didn’t graze her, a heart to heart conversation should do the job. I shoved myself insideLondon’s infamous Holloway prison, silently hoping this visit would yield the result I so desperately wanted. If Millicent didn’t speak, we had a negligible chance of ever finding Robin. After a thorough body search and an exten

JACK Countless turns, huffs and too many skips of my heart later, I draped my hand around the wheel, driving like a demon to wherever Millicent was taking us, but I had to remind myself, I had company in the car. “We’ve been driving round and round nonstop. Where the fuck are we going?” I glanced over at Millicent, cuffed, and in the passenger seat. Two other police officers planted into the backseat. “If you don’t trust me, I suggest you send me back to my safe haven.” “Safe haven?” I snorted. “The fucking hell you were complaining about is now your safe haven?” I shot an eyebrow up, glancing quietly at her flaked face. “The place we’re going to is in plain sight but we’ve got to pass through hoops.” “Why is that Millicent?” “Because I say so!” I calmed the blood bubbling through my veins, reining in on the anger clawing up. “We’re going in the direction I see fit.” “I give you my word, Millicent, if you fucking mess with me, I’m going to snap that fucking neck of your

ROBIN “Please, stop taking. Please.” I panted. My breath was coming in shallow, my hands clutching my chest as if I were holding pieces of my heart together, I couldn’t steady myself. “But I’m not done. You’re going to know everything today, Robin. Then we can live happily ever after.” Happily? I snapped my head in his direction, seeing a wicked grin playing on his face. “When I got out of my car, the paramedics had still not arrived and Jack?” He rolled his eyes. “Out of fear or just being a plain coward, flee from the scene. Is that the kind of man you want? A coward alcoholic? Hmm?” He walked to my side, bracing his gun against my temple, I stiffened, visibly shaking. “I asked a fucking question, Robin!” He yelled. “Didn’t I?!” “Yes, no… no. That’s… that’s not the kind of man I want.” I spluttered, choking. And then slowly, he withdrew the gun, walking back to his initial position, before continuing the disturbing story. “So, you know what I did? I couldn’t allow your parent

ROBIN “Missed, fucker!” Jack bellowed, firing four shots at Brandon, his blood splattering all over my face, followed by a piercing wail from a woman. I was slithering down with him until strong hands caught me, bracing me up against his chest. Slowly, I tore my eyes completely open, Jack’s profile fully forming in my eyes, falling into the bluest eyes I’d ever seen. Clear and vivid, a magnificent sight. I was alive with relief and hope. As if my body had absorbed a brand-new energy, I flung my arms around him, disregarding the searing pain coursing through my sore body. Moulding myself into his embrace, surrounding his big body with my arms the best way I could, feeling an incandescent joy. My body was sore, my heart was sore, my eyes were sore, my face was sore. Every part of my body felt like it was being singed in an inferno. “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry.” I breathed, kissing his cheeks, his lips, eyes, all around his neck, practically anywhere my lips could touc
