Lahat ng Kabanata ng Taming Asher : Kabanata 81 - Kabanata 85

Thick awkward silence hung between us as he drove out. I knew he was very mad over what his aunt said, and I guess it was my fault for bringing Xena up in the first place. But then, it was his fault too. He was going to sound like he didn't have any clique, and I was just trying to point that out."You're quiet.” He said as we drove out of the estate.“I'm sorry I brought up Xena." He smiled wryly. “We only did it once. And that was because I was drugged. I never did it again with her. She disgusts me." “I understand." I murmured. “Well, you'll be dropping me off at Suzella's.” It wasn't worth dampening the mood with this Xena talk."This morning? Why? Your bags are still at our place, you know.”"Yeah, I know. Perhaps, you could help me with it tomorrow, huh? I just want us to go to school together. I need some heads up at least on the latest updates.”"Fine, if you insist." I gave him some little directions and he dropped me off.Suzella was still rushing her breakfast when I arr

"Here's the thing.” I heaved tiredly. "I'll go with them and pick up my bags myself, so I can properly thank their parents for their help so far." I explained.I think Suzella was glad at my response, and I was happy she understood.I refused to enter Asher’s car in the school, and walked out with Suzella instead. I told him to face his practice with the others, and come pick me up at his grandma's store later. I wanted to say hi to her. Besides, Suzella had some little errands to run for her.Mrs. Kent was very happy to see us. We had arrived just in time. There was a heavy surge of customers, and Marie was absent again. “Don't you think you should employ more workers?" Suzella asked her sharply after the mass of customers had toned down. Marie was back by then, and Mrs. Kent offered us cup noodles as we sat at a table, discussing.“I need just two workers. I have Marie already, so I will need just one more person." She said.I didn't feel very comfortable because her gaze lingered

Regan eyed me suspiciously. "Are you daring me?”As much as she was trying to play the hard man, I knew she was surprised I didn't give a hoot."Perhaps, she believes she has a lot of backup now.” Lisa said with spite.Oh yeah? Is that what it looked like?"You know what? I'll give you one last opportunity.” Regan said, letting down her phone. “Come to our house after school." “Why?" I demanded with scorn. I don't see how it had anything to do with the video."I'm not calling you over to stay. I've got a job offer for you. The pay is amazing.” She said. "It's my mum offering it anyway, not me. So don't disappoint her. She made a good referral for you already." She turned around to go.“Tell her I'm not interested, okay?" I wasn't sure if Regan heard me, but I didn't care. The team had practice after school, and Asher pleaded with me and Ralph to wait.Ordinarily, I would have left for his grandma's store or Suzella's house, but Suzella said she was going out of town with Corn for so
