~Lindsey~I gulp, silently praying that Jagger is talking about food though I know he’s not. I feel my face warming and hope that no one caught on to his remark. ~Brady~After Lindsey leaves, I’m left alone with my mom and her friends. I have to go to training soon, so I’m mentally preparing to excuse myself when I’m dragged from my thoughts. “Brady! I think I’m going to take your mom up on her offer.” I turn around to make eye contact with Jagger, who has a slight bounce in his step. ~Brady~My tired brain feels muddled. Despite my resolve, I tossed and turned most of the night, feeling uneasy that Lindsey was keeping things from me. Now to hear that she and Jagger shared a mate bond, even if it was weakened by her not having a wolf, my head just continues to spin. I’ve got about a million questions running through my mind, but I’m at peace with her last statement. “I just want you.”Those words echo through my entire being, filling me with warmth and serenity.
