บททั้งหมดของ SIN WITH ME FOR JUST ONE NIGHT: บทที่ 61 - บทที่ 70

I was parked outside the airport at seven in the afternoon, leaning against my car door, a cigarette between my lips. Blair had texted me saying his plane had landed, so it was only a matter of minutes before he’d get to our agreed location. I was both excited and nervous to see him again.I wasn't sure how to bring up the fact that Kent knew I was seeing someone, but I absolutely had to tell him. On the night that Barbara tried to kiss me I was so hurt by her words that I abandoned the idea of calling Blair and telling him then. All I wanted to do was sleep and forget about everything.I made up an excuse the morning after the incident and left after breakfast, saying that something came up at work. Kent, who had the biggest hangover, made a stupid joke about me going to see my new boyfriend. I rolled my eyes at him but didn't contradict his statement. It was better for him to believe I was leaving because I wanted to get laid than to know the truth about what his sister had done.Ba

The last day at Kent's studio was chaotic to say the least. We had to get the artworks ready to be shipped to the exhibition site. We had to wrap protective casings around each piece, make sure they were organized in their proper order, and sort out all the paperwork. It was the last stretch of a long and arduous journey. When everything was done, when every last job was complete, Gary opened a champagne bottle to celebrate."A toast for my two loyal helpers." He announced, raising up his glass. "Without you, I wouldn't have been able to do this. You've helped me making my dreams into reality."Kent was never one to be serious, but when it came to saying thanks, he was sincere. David, however, wasn't having any of the sappiness. As soon as Kent was finished with his words, David drank his whole glass in one gulp.Gary and I just looked at each other and burst out laughing. Kent probably thought David was drinking to celebrate our collective accomplishment, but I knew he was drinking b

As I sat at my computer at home, hot chocolate in hand, I reread Dr Reynolds' instructions for the assignment. Everyone was convinced that our professor would assess our knew acquired knowledge from our trip to Paris through a standard exam, but that wasn't the case. In the end, Dr Reynolds chose to make us write an extensive essay following rigorous rules concerning length, citation style, academic terminology, etc.I had worked on it for the whole week, and the due date was today. I was just giving it the finishing touches, making sure everything was perfect.I knew Felix wasn't going to go easy on me. In fact, I had the feeling he was going to correct my essay to a higher standard and grade me more harshly. I knew this wasn't just to avoid raising suspicion, but also because he knew what I was capable of from our extensive Art conversations. When I checked my bibliography and notes to make sure everything was perfect, I wondered if professors actually read any of it. After all, was

The fourteen days leading up to finals week were spent practically in isolation with the exception of Maddox showing up at my door unannounced for impromptu study sessions. I had always been the type to study alone, otherwise I'd get distracted and losing time would only intensify my anxiety.Apart from studying for my written exams, by the last week of lessons (which was two weeks before the last day of the year), we had to submit our portfolio to Professor Agnes, which was nerve-wracking to say the least. Sure, the written exams were important, but our portfolio came before everything else. Depending on Professor Agnes' feedback after we came back from Winter holidays, we'd know if we were going on the right track or needed to rethink everything.Just the thought of not being good enough petrified me. For that reason, all my energy was focused on two things: painting and studying. After all, this was the reason why Felix and I agreed to not see each other, so that I could focus sole

The first day in Paris was memorable despite the collective feeling of tiredness. After having something for breakfast/lunch, we went to Sacré Coeur and explored the beautiful Cathedral. The views from the top of the hill were exquisite. Mr. Turner and Professor Reynolds told us to sketch whatever we wanted around the place and so Maddox and I decided to sketch the cathedral itself. We must've been a sight to behold, a bunch of college students just scattered around the place, sketching whatever they found interesting. I could tell the tourists were interested in us as well as the locals. Some teenagers asked us what we were doing and where we were from. I gladly talked to them, finding it fun to use some french slang. We also had the occasional child who approached us shyly and asked us to see our drawings. At 9 o'clock, our teachers let us decide where we wanted to have dinner. Maddox and I decided to join David and his friends and we went to a bistro in the Montmartre neighborhood.
