Nathan was handled roughly into the waiting police van, followed by Stephen and Stanley, who was still thinking about what Damien had told him. They soon arrived at the police station. Nathan began to get scared as they drew closer ,he could see the building through the window, and he still didn't fully believe he was actually being taken there."Uncle, do something!" he shouted. "I can't be arrested like a common criminal!"The police officer beside Nathan hit his head with a baton, not too hard, but enough to silence him. "Shut up," the officer said, visibly annoyed by Nathan's noise.Nathan went quiet, tending to his wound instead of shouting. They soon reached the police station. As soon as they arrived, the officers dragged them toward the cells. Stanley, his head down, heard a familiar voice. He looked up and saw the chief inspector talking with a fellow officer in the distance."Inspector!" Stanley shouted, hope filling his chest. "Inspector!"He had given this particular offic

Ethan slid into the car, feeling the air turn frigid the moment the door closed. Damien sat beside him, his face a mask of stone, his aura chillingly cold. Ethan shifted nervously; he wanted to ask why Damien had suddenly appeared at the cafe, but the lingering embarrassment from their last encounter in Damien’s room kept his mouth shut. Finally, Damien broke the silence. "Did you meet anyone new today?"Ethan blinked, his brows knitting in confusion. "No. I only met my friends—the ones you saw in the cafe."Damien remained quiet, but his expression was a brewing storm. Ethan could tell something was wrong by the sheer tension in the man’s posture. "Is there something wrong?" he finally ventured.Without a word, Damien tossed a photo onto Ethan’s lap. Ethan picked it up, his heart sinking. It was a clear shot of him sitting alone at the cafe, taken while he was waiting for Anastasia and Kristen."Did you hire someone to take pictures of me?" Ethan asked, his voice small. The air in th

A small smile automatically appeared on Ethan’s face as he relaxed, the heavy thoughts of Damien and the photo finally fading into the back of his mind. He was surprised to see Kai standing there. "Oh, you're here?"Kai nodded. "Yes. I was exercising and needed to... release some stress, you know?"Ethan gave a soft laugh. "Yeah, I understand that."A brief silence settled between them before Kai spoke again. "I'm guessing you're here to stay away from your 'fans,' right?""Oh, you're talking about those people?" Ethan replied, his expression turning a bit cynical. "No, they're not fans. They’re fake. They don't actually like me—they’re just drawn to the video going around, that’s all."Kai went quiet, observing Ethan with a calculating look. "You know, I always thought there was something special about you, and I was right. Most people would get swept up in the fame, but you..." He looked at Ethan seriously. "You're suspicious of the game and the fans. That’s rare."Ethan offered a

Damien stared at Ethan, who was coughing violently on the floor. Now fully awake, the adrenaline was fading, replaced by a cold realization. He hadn't known it was Ethan; his body had simply reacted out of instinct. He reached out a hand to help Ethan up, but Ethan recoiled, scrambling backward. His eyes were wide, filled with a raw, trembling terror."No... no, I’m sorry! I was just joking!" Ethan stammered, his voice thin and cracking.Damien felt a sudden, sharp surge of anger not at the joke, but at the look in Ethan’s eyes. He had never been "nice" to Ethan, but he had never seen the boy look at him with such sheer, paralyzing fear. It felt like a physical blow to his chest."I know. I'm not annoyed," Damien said, his voice straining to sound calm as he stepped forward. "I just—"He was cut off by Ethan backing away even further. In his panic, Ethan’s shoulder clipped the side table, sending a heavy ceramic vase crashing to the floor. It shattered into a thousand jagged pieces ri

Ethan entered the room, his heart pounding against his ribs. He didn't want to be anywhere near Damien for now. Ever since that night, he had started to see the man in a completely different light. He slumped onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. "Fuck, I shouldn't have left," he muttered to the empty room. "He’ll just think I’m scared of him. I should have taken my stance." He let out a long, heavy sigh. "Who am I kidding? That man scares the shit out of me." As he tried to settle down, his phone buzzed. It was a memory clip from Mapchat. He opened it and began scrolling through the slides, but a particular photo made him stop. It was a picture of him and his parents at his high school graduation. They looked so happy. He looked at his mother’s smile, and a single tear escaped, dropping onto the screen. His thumb hovered over the image as he mumbled, "I miss you... I miss you both so much." He gathered enough emotional strength to keep scrolling, and then he saw it—a photo of him
