Kai Breaks His Promise

Ethan entered the school premises and headed straight to class. He settled into his seat for Accounting; since he was the only one among his friends taking the course, he sat alone, trying to concentrate. However, he could feel stares coming at him from every angle of the room. It was suffocating. When his pen slipped off his desk and rolled away, he stretched to pick it up, but a female coursemate beat him to it. He looked at her, forcing a small, polite smile. "Thanks for helping me. Can I have my pen back?"The girl gave him a flirtatious smile. "Of course. I’ll hand it over to you," she said, using the pen to twirl a lock of her hair.Ethan felt a surge of irritation. Between the guilt eating at him from his conversation with Elijah and the lingering trauma of the past few days, his patience was non-existent. The girl giggled, clearly enjoying the attention. "If you want it, come and get it," she challenged, dropping the pen onto the empty seat beside her and patting it for him to

Visiting The Blackwood Group

The final bell of the day usually felt like a victory, but for Ethan, it sounded like a death toll. He walked toward the school exit, his stomach tied in knots. He had no idea how he was going to face Damien, let alone ask the man to tutor him. It felt like crawling back to a lion and asking it to teach you how to hunt. As he stepped out into the parking lot, the familiar black sedan was already idling at the curb. He didn't even look at the driver’s side as he pulled the back door open and slid into the leather seat. He just let out a long, shaky breath and leaned his head back. "Elijah, I need a favor," Ethan said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Sir, Mr. Elijah is busy with some official work at the office," a voice replied, Ethan froze. That wasn't Elijah. It wasn't even Reiner’s low, gravelly tone. It was a voice he didn't recognize at all .Ethan snapped his eyes toward the rearview mirror. He couldn't see the man's full face, only a pair of dark sunglasses.Where's Elijah?" Et

Finding Excuses

Ethan felt a hand on his face and his eyes snapped open instantly. "What the fuck!" He hadn't expected to see Damien looming directly in front of him. Heart hammering against his ribs, Ethan scrambled back against the cushions of the couch, quickly sitting up. The last traces of sleep vanished from his face, replaced by pure shock. Seeing that he was awake, Damien quickly pulled his hand back, sliding it casually into his pocket as if he hadn't just been touching the boy's hair. Ethan, now seated properly and trying to regain some dignity, looked at the floor before meeting Damien’s gaze. "Good afternoon, sir," Ethan stammered. "You... you called for me?" Damien didn't answer immediately. He turned away, walking toward his massive desk with a slow, predatory grace. He sat in his leather chair, his gaze fully focused on Ethan, saying absolutely nothing. The silence stretched, heavy and suffocating. Ethan felt himself starting to sweat under that intense stare. Isn't he going

Sylvia

Ethan froze at the door, hearing the apology made his eyes widen in pure shock. He slowly turned back to look at the man behind the desk, wondering if he had heard correctly."I'm sorry for strangling you," Damien said, his voice level. "It wasn't intentional, it was out of instinct."Ethan froze. He felt like the world had just shifted on its axis. He was beyond surprised that the Living Yama—the man who ruled with an iron fist and showed no mercy—had just apologized.Did he just apologize to me? Ethan thought to himself, his mind reeling. He couldn't believe it. He searched Damien's face for a sign of a joke or a trap, but there was none.Damien didn't let the silence last long. He pressed on, his gaze narrowing slightly. "So? Do you forgive me?"Ethan’s mind went into overdrive. Of course I forgive you, like I would ever tell you I don't! That was the truth—there was no way he was going to tell Damien Blackwood to his face that he held a grudge. He didn't have a death wish. Even if

Going To The City

Anna pulled out her phone, her fingers trembling slightly as she dragged Ethan along with her. He was officially on duty as her "emotional support," and he took the job seriously. As the phone began to ring, Anna started biting her nails in a fit of nerves. Ethan chuckled softly, gently reaching out to pull her hand away from her mouth. "Calm down, Anna. I don't know why you're getting so worked up. It’s just—" Anna frantically signaled for him to be quiet as the line clicked open. "Hello," Damien’s deep, impatient voice came through the speaker. Ethan clamped his hands over his mouth, nodding at Anna to start talking. "Uhm, hey Damien," Anna started, rubbing her sweaty palms against her apron. "I have a favor to ask." Damien, likely still buried in paperwork at his office, gave a short reply. "Okay." "My sister’s daughter, Sylvia, has been struggling in the village," Anna explained. "The schools there aren't... they aren't what she needs. I was wondering if she could move to t

Teacher Damien

He didn't want to admit it to Anastasia, but the idea of being alone in a room with a "hot and smart" Damien was making him a lot more nervous than the actual exam. That man made him feel nervous in a lot of ways without even doing anything; it was as if Damien’s mere presence shifted the gravity in the room.Ethan was lost in thought, his mind replaying the "I'm sorry" from the day before, until Anastasia shouted, "Earth to Ethan! Where were you lost?"He was about to say nothing, his face flushing, when he heard Anna’s voice from downstairs. "Food is ready!"He turned back to his laptop screen with a sheepish grin. "Sorry guys, but I have to choose my belly over this."He didn't even wait for a reply or even think twice before slamming the laptop shut. Kristen and Anastasia were left staring at their own reflections on their screens in shock.Kristen chuckled, shaking her head. "Well, I wouldn’t blame him. A man’s gotta eat."Anastasia snorted. "Sure, the same excuse you use every ti

Richard Blackwood

Ethan saw Damien closing the distance, and his heart hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird. He hadn’t written a single reasonable thing on the page. In a moment of pure panic, he hugged the textbook to his chest, shielding the blank paper with his entire body.Damien stopped beside the chair, looking down at Ethan with an expression of confused suspicion. "Why are you resting on the book?" he asked, one eyebrow arching sharply. "Let me see your work."Ethan shook his head frantically, his face flushing crimson."Why?" Damien pressed. He leaned over, his massive frame looming over Ethan as he reached out to pull the book away.Ethan didn't let go; he leaned forward, resting his upper body fully on the textbook to pin it to the desk. It turned into a silent, desperate struggle. Damien’s physique was far stronger than Ethan’s, and he was already winning the tug-of-war when his phone suddenly began to vibrate in his pocket.Damien let go of the book with a frustrated huff and pull

Increased Security

Damien placed Leo in the back of the Rolls Royce, his movements uncharacteristically gentle as he tucked the boy in and clicked the seatbelt into place. He drove back to the manor in a blur of focused speed, the engine purring like a predator in the dark. The low rumble of the car pulling into the driveway woke Elijah from a light sleep. He sat bolt upright, his internal alarm bells screaming. He checked his clock, it was 12:00 AM. In Blackwood Manor, movement at this hour was a red flag. Even if Damien went out, he rarely returned this late; he usually stayed at one of his city penthouses.Elijah didn't hesitate. He grabbed his jacket and snatched his pistol from the side table, tucking it into his waistband. His quarters were specifically designed for high-level security, featuring a hidden door that served as a shortcut directly into the main house so he could reach Damien at a moment’s notice. He moved like a shadow, slipping into the living room and pressing himself against the w

Anna's Niece

Author's Note: Sylvia was introduced because she's a core character that plays a huge role in Damien and Ethan's love story. The next morning, Ethan woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed. After the chaos of the night before, he took his time getting ready, pulling on a simple oversized shirt and a pair of denim jorts. He stepped out of his room, heading for breakfast, only to stop dead in his tracks when he saw a familiar face in the hallway."Leo?"The boy’s face lit up instantly. "Hey, Ethan! You're not going to school?"Ethan blinked, still trying to wrap his head around why the boy was suddenly here in the manor. "Yeah... I don't have any classes today."Leo let out a long, dramatic sigh. "Cool. So you can just choose not to go? And it's not every day you have classes? Man, you're so lucky."Ethan chuckled, reaching out to ruffle Leo’s messy hair. "Trust me, kid, it’s not as cool as you think. The workload is a nightmare."Leo shrugged, unconvinced. "Sure it is."With their stoma

Sylvia's Jelaousy

The next day, Anna informed Sylvia that her admission was finalized and it was time to get ready for school. Sylvia was buzzing with excitement; Valeigh High was a name she had only heard on the news—a place reserved strictly for the elite. As they prepared to leave, Anna turned to Ethan at the door. "Ethan, take good care of my niece for me," she said, playfully pinching Sylvia’s cheek. Sylvia felt a flash of irritation but forced a polite smile. She hadn’t forgotten Damien’s blunt warning from the day before: she was only here because of her Aunt Anna.Ethan beamed, his eyes bright. "Of course. I’ll be her bodyguard for the day."They stepped into the sleek sedan, and Sylvia immediately felt the powerful hum of the AC. The interior was so cool and comfortable she felt like she could fall asleep right there. Before she knew it, they had arrived. As they stepped out, Sylvia froze, staring up at a massive, bold statue that dominated the campus."Welcome to Valeigh High," Ethan announced
